Reception VenuesThe Hermitage offers several reception options to suit a variety of budgets and tastes as well as welcoming bars where you and your guests can relax and enjoy pre-dinner drinks whilst admiring the scenery. Our dedicated team are experts at attention to detail and will ensure that your wedding reception is an event to remember.

The Panorama Restaurant

The award winning Panorama Restaurant has the reputation of being one of New Zealand’s fi nest restaurants. Its spectacular views of Aoraki Mount Cook, superb cuisine using only the freshest, local ingredients and fi rst class service provide a wonderful atmosphere for your wedding.

The stylish Panorama Restaurant comfortably seats 100 people for a sit down or buffet dinner.

Glencoe Events Centre

With incredible views of the Hooker Valley and the Southern Alps, Glencoe Events Centre is a fantastic venue for a larger wedding, seating up to 150 guests.

The Alpine Restaurant

The main dining area at The Hermitage Hotel, the Alpine Restaurant is our largest reception venue. The Alpine Restaurant can cater for 250 - 300 guests and boasts incredible views of Mount Cook through fl oor to ceiling windows.

Guest AccommodationWe know that planning the perfect wedding can be stressful! The last thing we want is for you to have to worry about organising accommodation for your guests, so we’ve made it simple!

When you confi rm your wedding booking with The Hermitage we will provide you with a personal accommodation booking code. Your guests can then book their preferred room type online at www.hermitage.co.nz . At the end of the booking process they simply need to enter your personal accommodation code into the ‘promo code’ box and their reservation will be instantly linked to your wedding party and provide them with further savings off our already guaranteed best rates!

They can even add an additional nights stay, other meals, or some of our great Mount Cook Activities.

DEPOSITTo secure your event a deposit of 25% (minimum $1000.00) of estimated Event charges is to be received by The Hermitage along with the signed contract, 14 days after sending of contract.

PAYMENTPayment representing the total estimated Event cost less the deposit is due 7 days prior to arrival via direct debit, credit card, or by making cash payment. Additional charges are to be settled upon departure from The Hermitage Hotel.

NUMBER OF PEOPLE ATTENDING EVENTPreliminary numbers must be advised 14 days prior to arrival. Final attendance numbers must be notifi ed 5 working days prior to the Wedding. Requirements will be based on this advised number of guests and charges will be based on the actual number attending the Wedding, or the advised number, whichever the greater.

CANCELLATIONS OR AMENDMENTSCancellation of Reception rooms and Accommodation must be advised in writing. If the Wedding is cancelled the following will apply:

NOTICE OF 3 MONTHS or more - Incurs a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of your deposit.

NOTICE OF 1-3 MONTHS- Incurs a cancellation fee equivalent to 100% of your deposit.

NOTICE OF LESS THAN 1 MONTH- Incurs a cancellation fee equivalent to 100% of your deposit, plus a further 50% of the estimated Event charges.

CHANGES TO DATE OR TIME AND/OR EXTENSION OF TIMEChanges will be permitted subject to availability. If requested date changes are not within 30 days of the original dates booked, then the change will be treated as a cancellation. Additional charges will apply for extended hours beyond the agreement.

ACCOMMODATION BOOKINGS Please refer to the terms and conditions outlined in your booking confi rmation email or visit www.hermitage.co.nz for further details.

DAMAGEThe patron is fi nancially responsible and agrees to indemnify The Hermitage Hotel for all damage sustained to the Hotel and its grounds during an Event as an action of invitees and or guests of the organiser. No staples, adhesive tapes, glues, pins, or velcro are permitted in our venue.

INSURANCEThe Hermitage Hotel takes all care with the security and protection of property and guests; we are unable to accept any responsibility for damage or loss of property left in the Hotel prior, during, or after an Event, as the case may be. We recommend patrons arrange their own insurance.

CONDUCT OF EVENTThe Patron agrees to begin and conclude the Event at the scheduled time and agrees to have its guests, invitees and other persons vacate the hotel outside these times. If the hotel has reason to believe that the Event or any part of it will affect the running of the Hotel business, its security or reputation, the Management reserves the right to cancel or terminate the Event or any part of it at its discretion and without notice or liability. The Event shall be conducted in all respects in a lawful manner and in accordance with the Hotels Licenses granted pursuant to the Sale of Liquor Act 1989.
