0THE BRIEF

The second half of the PDP Assignment lead me to confronting the probem, and raising awareness of the happenings in the Middle East, specifically the Afghani-Pakistani Border, as a consequence of the deployment of Drone Warfare by Western Forces.

The solution came in the form of an exhibition, travelling around Western States, which would help raiseawareness of the problem in order for the people to force adecision.

HOW IT WORKS

The whole system is designed to be totally impartial, with boththe positives and the negatives in the same room to fend offpreconceptions of those coming to view it and to allow the audienceto come to their own conclusion on the subject.

The exhibition is formed from two main sections, the ‘maze’and the ‘dome.’ The maze is where the bulk of the informationregarding the topic can be found, with both the pros and cons intertwined with each other, creating juxtapositions and contradictions. The dome is home to the theatrical centrepiece:a full size model of a Predator drone hung above a supersizedmap of the Arghani-Pakistan border, the map showing all the dronestrikes using smashed glass to mark the strike, all whilst being large enough for the audience to walk around.

0THE BRIEF

Create a completely unique speaker arranged around a single block of hollow concrete. It must not share any resemblence to othersin the group.

The final product is the precariously offsetINDUSTRY STANDARD system.
