• Helen was born June 27th 1880 in Tuscumbia, Alabama. When she was a baby she was really sick. Helen was born in a small town.

• Silence fell on the house in February 1882. Helen became ill with a high fever. After that she became deaf and blind. Helen was a wild child because she could not communicate and she was frustrated.

• Anne Sullivan became Helen’s teacher in 1887. Helen’s favorite prank was to lock people in the closets. Helen learned to write letters on her hand.

• Helen and Anne moved to New York in 1893. They moved there so Anne could study.

• She was ready to go to college in 1899. At Raddcliff college.

She graduated with honors in 1904

• A play was written for Helen. It was called Miracle Worker. They wrote it in 1957. Helen wrote many books and her first book was The Story Of My Life.

She traveled a lot she met Kings Queens and Presidents. Helen also met a lot of other famous people.

• She had to touch other people’s faces so she could tell who it was .

• Helen died in 1968.
