Dear friends, It gives us immense pleasure and privilege to cordially invite you to the 13th National Conference of Indian Congress of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology and National CME on 11th September 2014 organised by Department Of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, SMS & R, Sharda University, Greater Noida, U.P. on “Heinous Crimes & Human Rights Violation against Women and Children: Need for a Proactive Forensic Approach” from 12 – 13

September 2014. The escalating increase in heinous crimes against women and children appeals from all Medical professionals, Forensic experts, Judiciary, Police, Media & NGO's to upgrade the technology, knowledge and attitude in dealing with such crimes. We invite scholarly papers that seek to advance knowledge and understanding of the role of Forensic medicine. With great enthusiasm the organising committee invites you to participate in this academic feast. I extend my warm invitation to the eminent delegates to make this event a grand success. Greater Noida is a census town with a population of 100,000 and comes under the purview of the National Capital Region (NCR) of India. Greater Noida is 48 km and one hour from New Delhi. It is the show piece city of U.P, a

planned township, beautifully laid-out with wide roads and avenues and is well- connected through the Express Highway, and the Taj Express highway, hence the name City of Highways. The sectors are named

by letters of the Greek alphabet as Alpha, Beta, Gamma, MU, OMICRON etc. Greater Noida has left Gurgaon behind in growth when it comes to absorption or sale of residential units and project launches. It has become a major educational hub and a city of opportunities, industries and real estate.

Places of Interest:

The Annual Indian Grand Prix is held at the Buddh International Circuit which has helped

putting the city firmly on the global map. Many malls, marts and shopping arcades are situated

in Greater Noida and Noida region i.e. Ansal Plaza, MSX mall, Grand Venice Mall, The Great

India Place, Centre Stage Mall, The Spice World Mall, Waves, Shopprix Mall, Sab Mall in

Noida. A night safari is proposed and, once it opens, it will showcase wildlife at night and would

be the world's fifth such zoo. Greater Noida Cricket Stadium is being built along with the Buddh

International Circuit and will be given a face lift similar to Lord's Cricket Ground. Plans are

afoot for an International Airport to facilitate tourism.
