Asthma and COPD can’t be cured but the symptoms can be controlled. Inhaled medications delivered via pMDls or ‘puffers’ are commonly used in the management of Asthma and COPD. However, inhaled medication can only be effective when it’s delivered to the lungs where it can work.

Puffers require the patient to coordinate breath intake with inhaler actuation to receive an effective dose of medication. However, medication may be lost to the mouth and throat therefore, a spacer may be used to assist.
