Abstract

This is the document of the Project proposal for developing a health prediction system. This is fully unique system and it’s not developed & running yet at Bangladesh.

The project aimed to build a fully functional system in order to achieve the efficiency in faster heath treatment and online consultation system. The overall mission of system development is to make the primary treatment quickly and easily complete the Online Consultation System.

Introduction

It might have happened so many times that you or someone of yours need doctor’s help immediately, but they are not available due to some reason. The Health Prediction system is an end user support and online consultation project. Here we propose a system that allows users to get instant guidance on their health issues through an intelligent health care system online. The system is fit with various symptoms and the disease/illness associated with those systems.

The system allows user to share their symptoms and issues. Then the system processes user’s symptoms to check for various illnesses that could be associated with it. Here we use some intelligent data mining techniques to guess the very most accurate illness that could be associated with patient’s symptoms.

In doctor’s module when a doctor login to the system, doctor can view his patient’s details and the report of that patient. Doctor can view details about the patient and what patient searched for

according to their prediction. Doctor can view his personal details. Admin can add new disease details by specifying the type and symptoms of the disease into the database. Based on the name of the disease and symptom the data mining algorithm works. Admin can view various disease and symptoms stored in database. This system will provide proper guidance when the user specifies the symptoms of his illness.

Procedure

Flow of the Project Plan

The designing and implementation of Online Health Prediction System with the gathering of requirements and examine the background of the hospital management.

Although the current system is a manual and file based one, we realize that the system we are going to build must give the solutions for wastage of time and space which affects the efficiency of the daily activities performed at the hospital.

We have decided to use prototyping model to develop Health Prediction System. Therefore the system is developed in increments so that it can readily be modified in response to end-user and customer feedback. A prototype is built with basic and critical attributes. The designers build the database, user interfaces and developers build working functions. After the user evaluates the prototype he or she suggests improvements. This loop continues until the user is satisfied. As the primary step we have to gather requirements.

After a simple meeting with the Hospital management, we were able to gain more details and processes that need to be considering in building the system. Requirement gathering process was done by using some techniques such as interviewing and observations.

Working Procedure

Patient Registration: If Patient is a new user he will enter his personal details and he will user Id and password through which he can login to the system.

Patient Login: If patient have already an account then he/she can log into the system.

View Details: Patient and Doctor both can view their entered details. Doctor can also view patient’s details and Patient’s can view only Doctor’s little information.

Diseases Prediction: Patient will specify the symptoms caused due to his illness. System will ask certain question regarding his illness and system predict the disease based on the symptoms specified by the patient and system will also suggest doctors based on the disease.

Search Doctor: Patient can search for doctor by specifying name, address or type.

Feedback: Patient will give feedback this will be reported to the admin.

Notification: Doctor will get notification how many people had accessed the system and what all are the diseases predicted by the system.

Admin Login: System admin can log into the system using his login details.

Add Doctor: Admin can add doctor.

Remove Doctor: Admin can remove a doctor if need.

Add Diseases & Symptoms: Admin can add diseases and symptoms.

View Feedback: Admin can view user’s feedback.

Location Tracker: There will be a location tracker which will track Patient’s location (from where he accessed the system).

Advantages of this System

User can search for doctor’s help at any point of time. User can talk about their illness and get instant diagnosis. Doctors get more clients online. This system can be used by all patients or their family members

who need help in emergency.

Disadvantages

The system is not fully automated; it needs doctors for full diagnosis for serious patients.

Conclusion

At the end of this proposal we want to remember that this is fully unique system and we believe that it will helpful for us all as well as any Hospital Business can add this with their existing features. Hope this system will be very demandable in coming future.
