Consumer Choice Plus HSA plan

Why is this plan so popular?• Flexibility: Use in-network or out-of-network providers• Cost: Pay the lowest payroll premium of the medical

plan options• HSA: Save money with a tax-advantaged Health Savings

Account for when you need it• Free preventive prescriptions: Generic preventive

medications are free

All unused money rolls over from year to year, so you never lose it!

What will Citrix contribute to your HSA?• $1,000 for employee-only enrollment and $1,700 for

family enrollment• Contributions to your HSA are pro-rated for any

enrollments on February 1st or after

What are employees saying about this plan?I’m healthy“I’m healthy and I’d like to pay less. The Consumer Choice plan costs the least. While the annual out-of-pocket maximum is higher than other plans, I don’t foresee having any major health expenses.”

I like the tax bene ts“Putting aside pre-tax dollars makes sense. It costs me less money every month, and when I put aside money in my HSA, I get a triple tax advantage.”

I’m taking responsibility“I’d rather pay less for my medical plan and pay more out of my pocket if I have an unexpected health expense. Plus, the Citrix contribution to my HSA just about covers my deductible, and if I don’t use that money, it’s mine to keep.”

The Consumer Choice plan is a high-deductible health plan, meaning the deductibles are higher than most traditional medical plans. It is a good plan for people who want ownership of the money being spent on their healthcare needs.

Bene t In-network, you pay Out-of-network, you pay

Annual Deductible $1,500 individual/$3,000 family (Family = 1 or more dependents)

$3,000 individual/$6,000 family (Family = 1 or more dependents)

Annual Preventive Exams $0 co-pay 30% co-insurance, after deductible

Emergency Room Visit 20% co-insurance, after deductible 20% co-insurance, after deductible

Prescription Drugs 20% co-insurance, after deductible; Preventive generic drugs are free

No coverage, you pay 100%

All Other Services 20% co-insurance, after deductible 30% co-insurance, after deductible

Annual Out-Of-Pocket Maximum $4,000 individual/$6,850 family $8,000 individual/$16,000 family

*All money that you pay toward the annual deductible and co-insurance counts toward the annual out-of-pocket maximum (OOP maximum). Once you’ve reached the OOP maximum, the plan pays the rest of your eligible healthcare expenses for the year.

Page 4: Health Home - employee-benefits.citrix.com

How much can I contribute to my HSA?For 2022, the maximum amount of money the IRS allows you and your employer to contribute is a total of $3,650 for single coverage or $7,300 for family coverage. If you are age 55 or older, you can also make a $1,000 catch-up contribution. Employees age 65 and over are ineligible to contribute to an HSA due to Medicare eligibility.

How do I enroll in the HSA?Once enrolled in the Consumer Choice plan, we will notify HSA Bank of your enrollment and they will initiate opening your HSA account on your behalf (for first time enrollees only). HSA Bank may contact you directly to verify certain personal information during the account opening process. Citrix will make our contribution to your HSA account once it has opened.

Contribute to the HSA account yourself by setting up a payroll deduction within Workday. Deductions can be changed once per month, and will take effect on the 1st of the next month.

Consumer ChoicePlan enrollment

Maximum allowed contribution (Under 55) Citrix contribution

What you cancontribute

Individual coverage $3,650 -$1,000 = $2,650

Family coverage $7,300 -$1,700 = $5,600

Note: The Citrix contribution will be pro-rated for enrollments effective on February 1st or after.

Health Savings Account (HSA)A Health Savings Account is designed to be used with the high-deductible Consumer Choice medical plan. It is a tax-advantaged savings account that can be used to pay for current and future qualified medical expenses for you and your eligible family members.

How do I use my HSA?Pay for your expenses at the time of service using your HSA debit card or check book.

How does my HSA work with the Consumer Choice medical plan? You will use your Consumer Choice health plan to obtain services and can use the money in your HSA to pay for your out-of-pocket expenses. The below flowchart helps to outline the process.

Your deductible is $1,500.

You go to the doctor for a knee injury and pay the full cost of

the visit, $100.

Your doctor orders an MRI of your knee, which

you pay $1,000 for.

After several follow up visits, you reach your

deductible. Now you’ll only pay a percentage of

the cost for your services, called co-insurance.

A month later, you get a cold and go to the doctor. You pay 20%

of the $100 of ce visit, which is $20.

You still have $1,400 more to pay until you

reach your deductible.

Co-insurance is 20% forin-network services and 30% for out-of-network services.

You still have $400 more to pay until you

reach your deductible.

Use the money in your HSA to pay for these expenses.

CHIA-GRAPE JELLY FILLED BAKED DONUTS CONT.

Method:1. In a stand mixer with the hook attachment, mix the spelt flour, salt and yeast.2. In a saucepan, heat the oat milk. 3. Next add the maple syrup and 4 tbsp vegan butter. Only heat until it starts steaming and butter is melted. This mixture shouldn’t be too hot to put your finger in! This step is important to not kill the yeast. 4. Slowly add in the oat milk mixture to the flour while on low speed. Mix for about 5-minutes until everything is well combined and sticky while scraping the sides. 5. In a separate bowl, drizzle a bit of avocado oil to coat the bowl and add the dough to the bowl.6. Cover the bowl tightly and let rise for at least 60-minutes on the counter. 7. While the dough is rising, make the chia jelly!8. Add all the jelly ingredients, except the chia seeds, to a saucepan. 9. Cook and stir on medium heat until grapes soften, and blueberries start to release their juice. 10. Flatten grapes with a fork and cook for about 5-minutes more. 11. Pour mixture into a blender and blend until smooth.12. Pour back into saucepan and add chia seeds.

13. Cook on low for 2-minutes and set aside to cool.14. Once your dough has risen, scoop it out onto a floured surface. 15. Flour the top of the dough and roll out to about 1/2 inch thick. It’s better if the consistency is too thick rather than too thin, or you cannot fill the donuts with jelly!16. Using a large mason jar lid (or a cookie cutter) cut out as many circles as you can. Re-roll the dough out until you use all of it! 17. Place each dough circle on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and cover with a kitchen towel. 18. Let the cut dough rise for 30-minutes more and preheat the oven to 350 degrees. 19. Brush each donut with melted butter and bake for 13-minutes.20. Once cooked, brush again with butter and roll in coconut sugar. Let cool. 21. To fill the donuts, use a chopstick or knife to make a hole inside the donut from the side. Using a piping bag or squeeze bottle, squeeze the jelly into each donut. 22. Devour immediately and store in the fridge for up to a week!

ZUCCHINI RAVIOLI RECIPE

Part 1: Tomato Basil Marinara

IngredientsTomato Basil Marinara • 3 tbs extra virgin olive oil• 1 28oz can organic crushed tomatoes

or whole peeled San Marzano tomatoes, crushed

• 1/2 small yellow onion, chopped• 3 cloves garlic, minced• 1 pinch dried red pepper flakes• Kosher salt• Fresh ground pepper• 5 large sprigs of fresh basil

The MethodIn a medium pot over medium-low heat, warm the olive oil. Add onions and sauté until translucent, add salt and pepper, then garlic and cook just until the garlic starts to soften but be careful not to let it scorch. Carefully add tomatoes, red pepper flakes, and 3 of the basil sprigs. Mix until combined. Simmer on low heat for 30 minutes. Add the remaining sprigs of basil to finish before serving.

IngredientsCashew Ricotta• 2 cups raw cashews, soaked

overnight• 1 tsp onion powder• 1 tbs nutritional yeast• 1 tsp dried garlic granules (I use garlic

by Tastefully Simple)• 1/2 lemon, zested and juiced• 1 tsp kosher salt• 1/2 tsp ground pepper• 3 tbs extra virgin olive oil

The MethodIn a food processor, combine all ingredients except oil and pulse until combined. With the machine running, slowly drizzle in olive oil and blend until smooth. Set aside.

Part 2: Cashew Ricotta

Page 36: Health Home - employee-benefits.citrix.com

Part 3: Zucchini Ravioli

The MethodUsing a vegetable peeler, shave the zucchini lengthwise into thin ribbons until you have about 48 pieces. Working with four at a time, lay two strips into an “X” and then offset the remaining two into another “X.” The ends of the strips should all be pointing in 8 different directions, almost like a flower. Place 2 Tablespoons of the ricotta mixture into the center of the “flower” and fold the ends of the zucchini over the mixture one at a time until it is completely enclosed and forms a ravioli. You should end up with 12 raviolis.

Ingredients• 3 medium zucchini

OptionalHeat a couple of tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat in a non-stick sauté pan. Working quickly and in two batches of 6, brown the ravioli on both sides and remove from heat.

If desired, you can add mushrooms at this point. Add a couple of tablespoons of additional oil to the pan. Slightly increase heat. Add two cups of sliced mushrooms of your choice and spread into a single layer. Cook 1-2 minutes flipping as needed until browned on both sides. Remove from heat and set aside.

Assembly1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees2. In an 8x8 or 10-inch diameter baking pan,

spoon some of the marinara sauce down into the bottom in a thin, even layer. Place the ravioli seam side down into the dish and cover with additional sauce and mushrooms. Bake for 15 minutes or until sauce is bubbling. Remove from oven, top with freshly grated vegan parmesan, and garnish with a fresh basil sprig.

Part 4: Options & Assembly

LEMON BASIL SPAGHETTI WITH BURRATA AND BREADCRUMBS RECIPE

The Method1. Cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling salted, water until

tender but still firm to the bite, occasionally stirring, about 8 minutes. Meanwhile, whisk the oil, parmesan, and lemon juice in a large bowl to blend. Set aside.

2. For the breadcrumbs, break the bread into large pieces, throw it into a blender or food processor, and pulse until you have small crumbs. Add the crumbs to a small saucepan over medium heat, add 1 tbsp. olive oil and cook, frequently stirring until golden brown, sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper, and transfer to a paper towel to drain off excess oil.

3. Drain the pasta, reserving 1 cup of the cooking liquid. Toss the noodles with the lemon mixture and a small amount of the reserved cooking liquid, adding 1/4 cup at a time as needed to moisten. Cut the burrata into pieces and place over warm pasta—season with salt and pepper. Garnish with lemon zest and chopped basil.

Ingredients• 1 pound spaghetti• ⅔ cup olive oil• ½ cup grated parmesan• ½ cup fresh lemon juice

(about 2-3 lemons)• Salt and freshly ground

black pepper• 1 tbsp lemon zest• 1 ball burrata cheese • Fresh basil leaves, about 4-

5 large sprigs• 2 slices leftover crusty

bread

Serves 3-4
