Embalming Process

• Embalming is the process of preserving a body after death, or taking out a deceased person's organs and replacing them with other things. In this case, for the Afterlife

• When embalming in Ancient Egypt, the bodies were cut in the left side, as to not fracture the body too much

• Then, the body is wrapped in a sheet called shroud

• The body is next wrapped in linen

• The body is stuffed with linen or sawdust

• The tombs were made from wood

• The mummies were placed in the tombs

• The mummies were buried in pyramids

• The mummies-to-be were wrapped in linen, mainly confused with toilet paper to people of younger ages. Most people also did not know that toilet paper had NOT yet been invented in 2600 B.C.
