WROXALL

The village of Wroxall is conveniently sited for the nearby towns of Knowle, Warwick and Leamington Spa where you can find excellent schooling, both state and private, shopping and leisure facilities. Solihull, Stratford, Coventry and Birmingham (30 minutes) are also easily accessible. As is the Midlands motorway network with nearby M40, M42, M6 and M1, Birmingham NEC and Birmingham International Airport (20 min). Warwick Parkway and Leamington Spa train stations offer rail networks to London Marylebone station in 1 hour and 20 minutes.

KENILWORTHKenilworth is a town and civil parish in Warwickshire, notable for the extensive ruins of Kenilworth Castle. Constructed from Norman through to Tudor times, the castle has been described by architectural historian Anthony Emery as “the finest surviving example of a semi-royal palace of the later middle ages, significant for its scale, form and quality of workmanship”.

Other local sights include the ruins of Kenilworth Abbey in Abbey Fields park, St Nicholas’ Parish Church and Kenilworth Clock. The area is renowned for its handsome red sandstone, of which the castle and parish church are constructed.

The town is approximately six miles southwest of Coventry, four miles north of Warwick and 90 miles north-west of London. There are regular bus services to Coventry and Leamington Spa and Warwick Parkway is a short distance away. There is a Waitrose supermarket and a wide selection of high street stores in Talisman Square, as well as the locally renowned Michelin star restaurant “The Cross”.

ROYAL LEAMINGTON SPA

In 2015 the historic town of Leamington Spa was voted the third best place to live in the UK by The Times national newspaper. Many people are drawn to the area by the excellent schools, shops, parks and surrounding countryside. After a visit to the town it was granted a Royal prefix in 1838 by Queen Victoria and was renamed Royal Leamington Spa from Leamington Priors.

The town is split by the River Leam which runs east to west through the town. It was on these banks that the Pump Rooms was built for people to bathe in salty spa water to heal their ailments. As a previous Britain in bloom winner the town has several key parks including Jephson Gardens, Victoria Park, Royal Pump Room Gardens, Mill Gardens, The Dell and Newbold Comyn.

The town is known for its excellent schools. Within easy reach are state, grammar and private schools to suit most requirements including Warwick Prep and Public Schools and Kings High School for Girls. Arnold Lodge School and Kingsley School for Girls in Leamington, The Croft Prep School and grammar schools are in Stratford upon Avon. Leamington Spa is also just seven miles from the world famous Warwick University.

COVENTRYThe 10th largest city in England, Coventry was the capital of England more than once in the 15th century and it’s heritage includes the Roman Fort at Baginton, Lady Godiva, St Mary’s Guildhall (where kings and queens were entertained) and three Cathedrals. Coventry is situated 95 miles from central London, 19 miles from Birmingham, and 24 miles from Leicester.

Coventry was the world’s first twin city, when it formed a twinning relationship with the Russian city of Stalingrad and is now twinned with 26 cities around the world.
