What is NYLT Silver Bear ?
What is Silver Bear NYLT ?
It’s an intense, 6-day, outdoor leadership training experience for youth leaders.
Its principle function is to help Scoutmasters by training their top boy leaders in the skills of leadership.
It utilizes The new National BSA Training Format for Leadership Development
It focuses on the ‘Aims of Scouting’
Participating Citizenship
Growth in Moral Strength and Character
Development in Physical, Mental and Emotional Fitness
The Goals of Silver Bear NYLT To give participants the confidence and knowledge to run the
Troop program.
Through activities, presentations, challenges, discussions and audio-visual support, NYLT participants will be engaged in a unified approach to leadership that will give them the skills and confidence to lead well.
To give participants the opportunity to share ideas and experiences with Scouts from other Troops.
To create an atmosphere where Scouts will experience Scouting at its best.
To enhance the relationship between the participant and his Scoutmaster.
To have FUN.
