Serial numbers black. This aircraft was previously with No,1 squadron whose red code N is still painted on the f in. Grasshopper insignia under cockpit.

Hawker Siddeley Harrier GR .3 No.1 Squadron XV778/16 (Norway 1979). Standard matt dark green, dark sea grey, light aircraft grey scheme with all dark green areas (except near serials) crudely overpainted with whitewash. Code 16 in red.

No.1 Squadron revised design (mati finished aircraft) is red and white wi th gold, white and deep gold wings.

Hawker Siddeley Harrier GR.1 No.3 Squadron XW767/F (1975-76). Dark green/dark sea grey/light aircraft grey matt finish with nose and wingtips painted very pale grey. Code on fin in yellow. Serials black.

No.3 Squadron early design (Harrier GR.11 comprised a red and grey cockatrice on a white disc. Flanking bars were mid green and yellow.

No.20 Squadron design is black, yellow and white (sword is black on some aircraft). Flanking bars are light blue with red, white and green centre stripes.

Semi-matt finish of medium sea grey with lower wings and tailplane in mixed grey. Unit insignia on fin faces forward on port side and aft on starboard side. Individual codes are not carried.

Sea Harrier FRS.1 lower surfaces are medium sea grey and mixed grey*. Roundels are not applied to longer surfaces. Underwing serials on XZ497 only. Note the white intake interiors. *The two greys used are very similar to each other. For clarity the contrast between them has been exagerated in these drawings.
