 A Tradition Since 1903 July 2011 It’s the 108 th Club Championship!  On Saturday, July 16 and Sunday July 17, the Hannibal Country Club will be hosting it’s annual Men’s and Women’s Golf T ournament.  Thank you from the Board The golf course suffered signicant damage from the storm that

came through early Monday. There were three trees down andhundreds of large branches. The course was littered with smalllimbs and leaves. A number of members showed up without being calledMonday to begin the cleanup process. We used chain saws to saw thelarger limbs into manageable lengths and started the process of carryingit off. On Tuesday, all of the manageable trash was picked up by more

volunteers, with the exception of the larger trees which will be cut upby professionals.

It is heartening to see so many members giving of their time and effort.On behalf of all the members of the club we offer our thanks. Withouttheir unselsh efforts, our club wouldn’t be what it is. When you see them,

please thank the following members and staff.

Manager’s Update Joann Hamilton and Rita Nelson would like to thank all the lady golferswho invited their friends & family members to the recent Guest Day hereat the club. Though the weather was somewhat poor, the turn-out wasexcellent and everyone had a terric time for breakfast, golf and lunch.

 Since Independence Day falls on a Monday this year, the club will alsobe closed as well. The pool will be open to everyone until 5 pm for ourswimmers and sunbathers on July 4th. HCC is pleased to host the Mark Twain Golf Tournament on Monday,August 22. Our Ann Lear is coordinating this lunch/golf/dinner event tohelp fund the completion of the Becky Thatcher House. Information andsign-up forms are available in the Pro Shop and Clubhouse.

Ladies’ Day Luncheon July 20 ~ Noon We’ll start the afternoon with our traditional wine toast and social. ChefKenny is happy to prepare our rst course of Eggplant Parmesan,followed by his Bistro Salad. His rendition of a summer salad includes:Mixed Greens, Grilled Chicken, Apples, Raisins, Pecans and HerbedBread Sticks on the side. Please leave room for dessert, as you willenjoy a bountiful slice of rich chocolate layer cake.Callearlyforreservations,please!
