Encausticpainting,alsoknownashotwaxpainting,involvesusingheatedbeeswaxtowhichcolouredpigmentsareadded.Therearemanywaystoworkwithheatandcolouredwaxesinthecreationofartwork.Thesebasiceffectsarecompiledintoabstracts,landscapes,fantasyscenesandsoon.
