Hands that do God’s will
Reading Mark 8 v.22 – 26
some people brought a blind man
and begged Jesus to touch him.
He took the blind man by the hand
and led him outside the village,
Jesus put his hands on him
Once more Jesus put his hands on
the man’s eyes.
his sight was restored
Ps.34 v.3 Who may ascend the

Luke 4 v.40 When the sun was
setting, the people brought to Jesus
all who had various kinds of
sickness, and laying his hands on

the man’s eyes. Then his eyes were
opened, his sight was restored, and
he saw everything clearly.
Matt.19 v.13 – 15 Then little children
were brought to Jesus for him to
place his hands on them and pray for
them. But the disciples rebuked
those who brought them. Jesus said,
“Let the little children come to me,
and do not hinder them, for the
kingdom of heaven belongs to such
as these.” When he had placed his
hands on them, he went from there.
Luke 13 v.10 – 13 On a Sabbath Jesus
was teaching in one of the
synagogues, and a woman was there
who had been crippled by a spirit for
eighteen years. She was bent over
and could not straighten up at all.
When Jesus saw her, he called her
forward and said to her, “Woman, you
are set free from your infirmity.”
Then he put his hands on her, and
immediately she straightened up and
praised God.
Matt.21 v.12 Jesus entered the temple
area and drove out all who were
selling there. He overturned the
tables of the money changers and
the benches of those selling doves.
Ps.22 v.16 Dogs have surrounded me;
a band of evil men has encircled me,
they have pierced my hands and my
feet.
Isaiah 53 v.5 - But he was pierced for
our transgressions, he was crushed
for our iniquities; the punishment
that brought us peace was upon
him, and by his wounds we are
healed.
Luke 24 v.50/51 - When he had led
them out to the vicinity of Bethany,
he lifted up his hands and blessed
them. While he was blessing them,
he left them and was taken up into
heaven.

the palms of my hands.

Heb 9 v.14 How much more, then will
the blood of Christ, who through
the eternal Spirit offered himself
unblemished to God, cleanse our
consciences from acts that lead to
death, so that we may serve the
living God.
Hands?
Heb.10 v.22 - let us draw near to God
with a sincere heart in full
assurance of faith, having our hearts
sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty
conscience and having our bodies
washed with pure water.
Acts 22 v.16 - And now what are you
waiting for? Get up, be baptised and
wash your sins away, calling on his
name.
1Jn 1 v.8 If we claim to be without
sin, we deceive ourselves and
the truth is not in us.
v.9 If we confess our sins, he is
faithful and just and will forgive
our sins and purify us from all
unrighteousness.
Luke 23 v.46 Jesus called out with a
loud voice, “Father, into your hands I
commit my spirit.” When he had said
this, he breathed his last.
