Eurofork S.r.l., founded in year 2000, is an Italian company which produces automatic handling systems. With its over 20 years of know-how gained in the handling field, Eurofork today is one of the leading players on the global market concerning the production of handling devices, for both number of units produced and for its turnover.

In addition to Telescopic forks division, the company boasts two other areas: Service department that deals with after sales assistance, maintenance, and selling of spare parts, and ESMARTSHUTTLE division, specialized in the design and manufacture of shuttle systems for multi depth automated warehouses.

Telescopic ForksTelescopic forks are made of a fixed body and a variable number of sliders. Such devices are mainly used in automated warehouses and in several industrial automation systems. In the automated warehouses, the telescopic forks handle loads from the aisle’s centre to the rack positions and vice versa. They can be installed also on other devices as AGVs-LGVs with a lifting unit.Accordingly to the storage units positiong, telescopic forks are classified in Single Deep forks (two mobile parts and one fixed body), Double Deep forks (three mobile parts and one fixed body) and Triple Deep forks (four mobile parts and one fixed body).

ESMARTSHUTTLEESMARTSHUTTLE is the patented solution for high density warehouses. It consists in two independent modules: shuttle and satellite.The shuttle is the main trolley which carries the satellite and/or the storage unit in the X-direction. This module can be supplied with an integrated chain conveyor that is used to transfer the storage units to the IN/OUT bays. The satellite is the smaller trolley which lifts, carries and stores the loading unit in the warehouse channels (Z-direction).

ServiceEurofork service team consists of skilled technicians able to operate in reduced time on all types of telescopic forks and other handling devices even produced by other manufacturers. Different types of assistance contracts will guarantee minimized costs and will increase the product’s lifetime. With regards to ESMARTSHUTTLE system, with a remote assistance our technicians can solve problems in real time.

Telescopic forks are classified as follows:

Single Deep: characterized by two slides and one fixed body. These forks perform a bilateral movement called “single deep”, being able to handle loads stored in a single line shelves.

Double Deep: characterized by three slides and one fixed body. These forks perform a bilateral movement called “double deep”, so can handle loads stored in a two lines shelves. These forks can reach a higher ratio between stroke and fork’s length if compared to the single deep ones: that means that it is possible to obtain greater strokes.

Triple Deep: characterized by four slides and one fixed body. These forks perform a bilateral movement called “triple deep”. They are able to handle loads stored in a three lines shelves. Usually this kind of forks are used as double deep forks in case a reduced fixed body length is required or an high load shall be handled.

The motion is transmitted from the geared motor to the first mobile part; the second sliding part will move at a double speed compared to the first one, thanks to a series of gears, chains or belts bounded to the fixed body. In case of double (or triple) deep telescopic forks, the motion will be transferred to the third (or fourth) sliding part. Cam-followers are used to vertically guide sliding parts, while lateral guided is obtained by using shoes accordingly to the working environment.

DD180 forks are the reinforced version of DD175 forks. These forks are equipped with only one geared motor which moves the three slides simultaneously, both in single and in double deep stroke. These forks have been designed to handle pallets or other loads with a maximum weight of 1800 kg pallets. SD150 is a special product designed to meet specific needs in case of reduced pick-up space and high loads. This is possible thanks to the small sizes of the sliders (150 mm wide and 220 or 280 mm height). SD150 can handle storage units of up to 3000 kg on each fork.

DD350 forks are suitable for both large and thin double deep forks. Slides are 350 mm wide and their total thickness is equal to 120 mm. The minimum length of this fork is about 1500 mm and it can handle up to 1500 kg. As usual this value is influenced by the stroke/length ratio.

These forks can handle loads up to 2000 kg (each fork) in double deep warehouses. Such devices are used in several applications mainly in open shelves or when it is necessary to handle close pallet. This device is mainly used as a mono-fork thanks to the considerable width of the upper slide (600 mm) and with an height of only 140 mm in DD520 and 200 mm in DD600.

Two Squared Fork is the solution for quadruple deep load handling. This device can simultaneously handle two pallets of 2000 kg each in first and second deep position, or only one pallet of max. 2000 kg in third position or max. 1500 kg in fourth position. The system can work in combination with two chain conveyors that arrange the position of the loads on board. This solution is ideal to reduce the number of cranes needed in an automated warehouse.

To handle coils, standard forks are equipped with special supports mounted on the upper slides. Alternatively, it is possible tilt the entire equipment by means of suitable supports in order to optimize the contact surface allowing a better distribution of the stresses. In presence of storage units with different diameters, it is possible to optimize such supports to ensure optimal force distribution.

Lift system allows load handling in case of forks mounted on shuttles, AGVs, LGVs or other similar applications without a lifting function.Eurofork produces a wide range of lifting systems customized base on loading unit weights; this solution can be installed in each forks device. The maximum vertical stroke of a lift can vary accordingly to each device, since the maximum value is linked to the loading unit. Variable fork to fork distance is a system that allows to adjust the distance between the forks. This system is particularly useful in warehouses where it is needed to manage loads with different sizes. Through a slight modification of the fixed body, all Eurofork forks can be integrated with this system.
