in communication, socialization, and
behaviour
Sign and symptoms of Autism
• Delayed, little or no speech
• Echo other people’s exact words
• Absence of non-verbal, like pointing
• Lack of response• No sharing
• No turn taking• No understanding of
humor• Lack of eye contact• Difficulty in transition
• Hyperactivity• Not paying attention• Repetitive behaviour
• Inflexible • Rocking and flapping
Few things to remember• Observing your own attitude
towards child’s needs• Getting training for the related
special need• Making individual plan for the child• Changing the physical environment
according to child’s need• Using Familiar materials and toys
communicating• Making the routines and activities
flexible• Getting support from the staff • “Work in collaboration with
Resource consultants, specialists, families, and coworkers” (Week 5)
• Making goal for improvement• Having a completed form 14 ready
to access the services
