From morning to night, our hands and wrists do our work for us. When an injury or ailment halts their functionality the impact is profound. Symptoms can develop from everyday wear and tear, overuse, injury and disease. These are often categorized as

• Acute (or Sudden) Injuries

• Overuse Injuries

• Bone, Muscle or Joint Problems

• Medical problems

While most minor injuries will heal on their own, many will require treatment. Treatment options may include first aid, medicine, “buddy-taping” for support, use of a brace, splint, or cast, physical therapy and, in some cases, surgery and rehabilitation.

At New Mexico Orthopedics, we will take into consideration the location, type, severity and age of the injury as well as the patient’s overall health and activity levels.
