From 2012 to date, independently provide oversight, monitor and training to colleagues and project

managers whose duties include delivering timely projects and executing construction projects

designed to implement policies to reduce federal space. No Net New and Freeze the Footprint:

From 2012 to date independently review and approve project plans, for over 20 regional properties,

analyze and develop program requirements; establish and revise operating procedures; review

operations in order to address program changes including resource requirements and providing

ongoing technical assistance to customers.

Effectively perform work under general administrative direction, with the authority for exercising

independent judgment by interviewing customers and reviewing customers programs of requirements,

conducting onsite walk throughs and surveying properties in order to advise senior officials and

customers on suitable options for program planning.

Effectively managed and executed the renovation and construction projects for The Department of

Education’s (ED) Regional offices to including Seattle, WA; Denver, CO; New York City, NY;

Atlanta, GA; Pembroke Pines, FL; Kansas City, MO and Washington, DC which consisted of

coordinating with customers to include program offices and managers; GSA; construction and move

contractors; furniture vendors; IT contractors, security services; local fire and safety personnel and

Lead project manager for coordinating and relocating staff throughout the regional offices and

ensuring that each individual is connected to the network; all IT equipment was tested and

functioning properly; ID badges allowed access; travel cards are functioning for approved colleagues;

and confirmed that the overall transitions of all employees are seamless.

space do to expiring leases; forced relocations and the President’s mandate to reducing the

government’s footprint. Completed all projects with highly successful ratings through employee

feedback surveys, and completing within scheduled timelines.

Successfully completed the Kansas City Forced Relocation Project by coordinating primarily with The

Office of the Inspector General (OIG); The Office of Civil Rights (OCR); The office of

Communication and Outreach (OCO) The Office of Federal Student Aid (FSA); Labor Relations;

Collective Bargaining Union and GSA to expedite relocation the ED employees as the result of a

forced move by the U.S. Department of The Navy.

Expeditiously coordinate with GSA; construction and move contractors; multiple furniture vendors;

IT contractors, security services and local fire and safety personnel in an effort to organize, and

successfully implement the program of requirements; contracting rules and regulations.

agency programs providing high quality technical assistance and direct customer service to grantees throughout

the United States and the United States Territories including The U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, Palau and

Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Efficiently developed and coordinated planning and execution

of strategic initiatives with United States Department of Education (USDOE) directors and program staff as well

as State officials and other stakeholders.

Accomplishment(s) Experience Managing, Coordinating and Providing Customer Service of The 2009 Recovery

Act

Coordinated and lead the fiscal management of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA)

grant. Reviewed all State program plans; consulted program policies, reviewed statute and non-regulatory

principles in order to guarantee that requirements were met before awarding grant.

Effectively provided direct and ongoing technical assistance to customers by conducting weekly program

reviews and team meetings highlighting budget concerns and monitoring the execution of projects.

Conducted customer compliance conferences and provided timely and high-quality feedback to resolve

outstanding issues.

Developed, organized and implemented the Monitoring Action Plan (MAP), which was used as a

secondary financial and project tracking system for the ARRA. The aforementioned project activities

resulted in increase fiscal transparency and gained efficiency in inquiry processing.

Accomplishment(s) Experience Leading and Managing Technology Grants

Independently manage the Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT) grant for multiple grantees,

provide ongoing technical assistance and fiscal monitoring. Consult with customers, review program

performance and conduct quarterly fiscal program compliance reviews in accordance with statute and

program policy.

Lead reviewer and consultant for updating the monitoring and procedural manual for official onsite and

in the percentage of grantees operating in non-compliance status.

Proactively conduct fiscal oversight and project management of $168 million for the American Recovery

activities to ensure grantee statute compliance.
