H3C S6520X-SI Next Generation Intelligent 10GE Ethernet Switch Series
H3C S6520X-SI switch series is next generation Layer 3 10 GE Ethernet switches designed for high-performance. S6520X-SI switch series provides 100M/1000M/2.5G/5G Base-T Ethernet ports, 10GE SFP+ ports, and with additional line card. S6520X-SI switch series can support up to 8-port 1G/2.5G/5G/10G Base-T port or 2-port 40GE QSFP+ port. S6520X-SI switch series provides wide range
of usage and could be applied to different industries. For enterprise network, S6520X-SI switch series can act as access switch to provide GE/2.5GE/5GE for desktop application. For SMB network, S6520X-SI can act as core switch. For metropolitan area network (MAN), S6520X-SI switch series can act as access switch for GE/GE connection. S6520X-SI switch series can also provide GE/10GE for downlink server or provide 10GE or 40GE aggregated uplink.

In H3C open application architecture (OAA), the switch can accommodate high-performance OAP modules to offer dedicated services such as firewall, IPS, or load balancing in addition to conventional forwarding services. By installing OAP modules, the switch can be used as a multiservice device without separated service appliances, such as a firewall device.
Modular hardware and software design — The switch uses modular, hot swapping, and redundancy design for hardware, including power modules. The switch also uses modular design for software, which enables feature installation and removal on an as-needed basis. Refined physical architecture and optimized
High scalability: With IRF2, plug-n-play device aggregation can be achieved by adding one or more switches into the IRF2 stack, enabling IRF2 stacking on the new device. New devices can be managed with a single IP, and upgraded at the same time to reduce network expansion cost.
High reliability: The IRF2 patented 1:N backup technology allows each slave device in the IRF2 stack to serve as the backup of the master, creating control and data link redundancy, and uninterrupted layer-3 forwarding. This improves reliability, avoids unplanned business downtime, and serves to improve overall performance. When the master device fails, traffic remains uninterrupted.
Load balancing: IRF2 supports cross-device link aggregation, allowing upstream and downstream to be connected to more than one physical link. This creates another layer of network redundancy, and boosts the network resource utilization.
Availability: H3C Implements IRF2 through standard 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GE) or 40 Gigabit Ethernet (40GE) ports. It can allocate bandwidth for business and application access, and reasonably splits local traffic and upstream traffic. IRF2 rules are obeyed within and across the rack, but also across the LAN.

H3C S6520X-SI switch series supports MP-BGP EVPN (Multiprotocol Border Gateway Protocol Ethernet Virtual Private Network) uses standard-based BGP protocol as the control plane for VXLAN overlay networks, providing BGP based VTEP auto peer discovery and end-host reachability information distribution. MP-BGP EVPN delivers many benefits, such as eliminating traffic flooding, reducing full mesh requirements between VTEPs via the introduction of BGP RR, achieving optimal flow based end to end load sharing and more. H3C S6520X-SI switch series supports AAA, RADIUS and user
account based authentication, IP, MAC, VLAN, port-based user identification, dynamic and static binding; when working with the H3C iMC platform, it can conduct real time management, instant diagnosis and crackdown on illicit network behavior.
H3C S6520X-SI switch series supports enhanced ACL control logic, which enables an enormous amount of in-port and out-port ACL, and delegate VLAN based ACL. This simplifies user deployment process and avoids ACL resource wastage. S6520X-SI switch series can also take advantage of Unicast Reverse Path Forwarding (Unicast RFP). When the device receives a packet, it will perform the reverse check to verify the source address from which the packets are supposedly originated, and will drop the packet if such path doesn’t exist. This will crub the increasingly common originating address spoofing.
H3C S6520X-SI switch series supports high availability at device level and link level.
H3C S6520X-SI switch series adopts hot swappable dual-power supply design, which allows you to configure AC or DC power supplies as needed. The switch can detect faults in power supplies, and will if any such faults are found, respond with an alarm. It can automatically adjust fan speed according to the temperature
H3C S6520X-SI switch series supports abundant management ports, such as the console port, mini-USB and the out-of-band network management port. It supports the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) v1/v2/v3, Open View, IMC, CLI, Web-based NMS and Telnet allowing easy device management. It also supports SSH2.0 to provide better protection management.

Features
As network bandwidth increases, they require switches that can provide higher performance forwarding power with GE port to provide scalability. There are different high-density port options for S6520X-SI switch series for users to choose according to their requirements, in which S6520X-26C-SI can provide upto 24-port 10G SFP+ together with expansion slot, S6520X-26C-SI can provide total of 32 10G SFP+ ports. S6520X-26MC-SI and S6520X-26MC-UPWR-SI are multi gigabit switch, they can provide fixed 24-port 1G/2.5/5G Base-T ports, with expansion slot, which can further provide 8 1G/2.5G/5G/10G Base-T ports.
