ARN’s Social Media Policy:
• All social media posts are written and
created at ARN’s discretion
• There is no final client approval on
ARN’s social media activity as they are
content driven properties of each
station
• ARN strives to engage the listener by
using social media in a content-driven
way i.e. deliver the content they
expect from their station such as
celebrity updates, buzz worthy social
content etc
• ARN will not directly link to a client
website via social media, ARN will link
back to the dedicated station
promotional page where client
integration and logo/branding will
appear
• All social media needs to be
integrated, this is in part because the
terms of use of social media sites
specifically state that we cannot use
them for advertising. For example
clause 9.7 in the Facebook terms of
service states “You will not show third-
party adverts or web search boxes on
www.facebook.com.”
• Continued next page
Tagging – General Rule:
• Generally people will undertake one
action on social media – a click, like or
share. The purpose of these posts is to
get people to click through to the
website where our clients full brand and
message is integrated. Tagging clients
limits the effectiveness of a post by
adding an alternate thing to do on the
page – if they click on the client’s
Facebook account they may not enter
the competition or engage with the paid
created content.
Minimum spend to access ARN Social Sites:
• A minimum DIGITAL spend of $5,000 is
required to access socials
When will we Tag a client post?
• Client’s social media accounts will be
tagged on Facebook or Twitter if:
• Prize value for a competition post is over
$10,000. For Facebook this is with
‘thanks to insert client here’. For Twitter
‘with thanks to @client’
• Integrated content is part of a campaign
worth more than $200,000 to the
network including a DIGITAL SPEND of
$10,000 or above. For Facebook this
would be ‘insert client here want you to
see’ for Twitter it would be ‘check out X
thanks to @client’

ClickTag is an industry-wide standard method to enable the measurement of user clicks on Flash rich media creatives. All Flash
files submitted should be accompanied with a backup image of the same dimensions, along with a click-through URL.
ARN accepts creative files published as Flash version 10.1 or below using Action Script 2 or Action Script 3. The maximum
allowable frame rate is 21 frames per second, as higher frame rates have been shown to degrade browser performance due to
excessive CPU usage. Creative executions that require multiple Flash files should be served through an approved 3rd party ad
server.
If you are having difficulties implementing clickTags you can also visit the following sites for detailed support and guidance:
https://doubleclick-support.appspot.com/repository
http://www.flashclicktag.com/
Flashing / Blinking Restrictions
Creatives should not flash/blink more than three times in any one second to minimise risk to those who suffer from seizures
and to minimise user distraction (ref: http://www.w3.org/TR/2008/REC-WCAG20-20081211/#seizure).
Note: The instructions below refer to site-served Flash creatives hosted by ARN. For clickTag instructions relating to 3rd party
served creatives, please refer to your ad serving vendor’s support documentation.
Adding Clickable Area
Insert a transparent button onto the top-most layer of your Flash creative and assign the following as an on release action:
on (release) {
getURL(_level0.clickTag, "_blank");
}
Multiple Clickable Areas
For creatives with multiple clickable areas and separate destination URLs, use separate instances of your transparent button
with the naming convention of clickTag1, clickTag2, clickTag3 up to a maximum of 10 instances.
AS3 - Adobe has not yet set a standard for how to code buttons in ActionScript 3 so ActionScript 2 clickTags are preferred if
available in your Flash application.
Example ActionScript 3 clickTag:
Link_1.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP, function(event: MouseEvent): void {
var sURL: String;
if ((sURL = root.loaderInfo.parameters.clickTag)) {
navigateToURL(new URLRequest(sURL), "_blank");
}
}
For further assistance with creating clickTag enabled creatives, please visit these sites:
http://www.flashclicktag.com
https://doubleclick-support.appspot.com/repository
http://www.adobe.com/resources/richmedia/tracking/designers_guide/
Note: Your Flash files may be returned for revision if your clickTag implementation is incorrect or incompatible with ARN
ad serving systems
