Career Services:utoledo.edu/utlc/careerCareer Services’ mission is to provide quality, career-related services to enable all University of Toledo students to reach their academic and career goals. The professional staff assists students to choose or change their major successfully, identify part-time student employment and internship opportunities, educate students on current trends in employment readiness, and provide opportunities for them to network with employers.

Writing Center:utoledo.edu/centers/writingcenterThe Writing Center works with current UT undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and staff on a variety of writing projects in any subject. Experienced, polished writers read, review and respond to papers in order to assist other writers individually at any stage of academic or personal writing. Writers meet with Writing Center tutors in order to generate ideas, organize notes and thoughts, and receive feedback on drafts or completed papers. Types of documents that are often brought to the center include essays and research papers, personal and creative writing, theses and dissertations, application letters and essays, grants, articles, proposals, professional publications, and job application materials. The center’s goal is to provide writers with transferable skills that will help them not only on one paper, but also on future assignments. Writing Center tutors do not proofread or evaluate papers. Rather, tutors work collaboratively with writers, reading student texts and offering questions and suggestions to help guide revision and proofreading.

Honors College:utoledo.edu/honorsThe University of Toledo Honors College is designed spe-cifically to meet the needs of highly motivated and academi-cally talented students. Established in 1963, making it one of the earliest honors programs at a state university, it has a strong tradition of excellence and provides students with the best opportunities — both inside and outside the classroom. As a member of UT’s Honors College, you will enjoy a challenging and nurturing environment conducive to intel-lectual growth and discovery.
