There are many things to consider when you are looking to build a new energy efficient

home. Its really important to take your time, research green buildings to educate yourself,

and ask many, many questions. You may benefit from taking local green building tours and

visiting open houses in your area or attending conferences and workshops focused on

sustainability.

Here are some questions for you to consider: What are you looking to accomplish by building

First step is to Google green contractor plus your city or state, or some similar type of

search. Finding the right contractor can be a long process, so be sure to do your homework.

Before you hire any contractor, make sure they are licensed, insured and bonded. Check

with the Better Business Bureau to see if any complaints have been filed. Many of the
