Sustainability Sustainable Development
Development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet
their own needs.
In other words, the growth of today does not negatively affect the basis for growth tomorrow.
The three components of sustainable development are: social, economic and environmental.

News: Electricity consumption in February - 8.1%
Terna confirms the difficulties
The collapse continues, confirming the crisis: after a decline in 2011 and a decrease of 2.8% in electricity consumption in
2012, the first part of 2013 is even worse.
After a January with a -2.4, in February, there was a further drop when the Italian demand for electricity, equivalent to 25.7 billion kilowatt-hours, in absolute terms has forfeited a mega-
decline trend of 8,1%.

Renewable energy companies in the crosshairs of Consob.Strong growth prospects, but also great uncertainty, due to the credit crunch and to the dependence on legislation on which
we can not rely.
That's why there's an exposure to speculative risk for renewable energy companies, so much so that Consob has
decided to keep an eye on them.
New Competitiveness
Companies can face the crisis and compete at an
international level by combining:
INNOVATION

BEING GREEN-ORIENTED
GREEN ECONOMY Orientation
1. The Green Economy can be a way to deal with the economic recession and
start a development stage.
2. Development of eco-innovation. The Eco-innovation, necessary for the
development of Green Economy, promotes systems of production and
consumption based on the sustainable use of resources and reduction of the
negative impacts on the environment.
3. Development of eco-efficiency, recycling and renewability of materials.
4. Development of energy efficiency and energy saving.
5. Development of Renewable Energy Sources.
GREEN ECONOMY Orientation
1. Protection and enhancement of ecosystem services
The new economy is called Green Economy precisely because it relies on a high
ecological quality, protecting and valorising the services provided by ecosystems
(extraordinary historic, artistic and natural heritage)
2. Development of local, agricultural and ecological quality
3. Development of a sustainable system of transport

Born in 2002, the Clean Energy Consortium has been one of first projects of private aggregation of renewable sources producers and consumers. It is a consortium that in the course of 10 years has seen more than 1,000 member Companies.
GREEN STORIES | The Clean Energy Consortium
The "Green Pricing" is a kind of electricity sale for which the consumer agrees to pay a Surplus on every kilowatt-hour consumed. The electricity company will invest the proceeds in construction of renewable energy systems. In Europe there are many examples of "green pricing". The most active countries in this area are the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland and Great Britain. In the Netherlands, 20% of consumers buy clean energy.

Marketing activity
Magazine "Multiutility News» dispatched in 15,000 copies to potential target customers of environmental messages: first, the hoteliers of Veneto
and the Adriatic coast.
Meetings with trade associations of hoteliers to sensitize them to the issues of renewable energy and to the possible "implications" thanks to this
choice.
Supply of "clean" electricity with eco-communication kit: clean energy consumer certificate, stickers, window stickers, gadgets
