Unspoilt and natural, the beach and dunes at Winterton are a great place to set out on a walk through the natural beauty of the Norfolk coast. The area is home to all sorts of wildlife including the famous seal colony just north of the beach

A short walk from Hemsby Village itself, the beach area is great for families with soft sand, dunes, amusements and traditional seaside cafes.

You’ll find a number of attractions including ten-pin bowling, Lost

World adventure golf and MB’s Funhouse indoor play area with its’ slides, cargo nets and ball pits - great for when it’s wet.

CAISTER-ON-SEA

Built in 1432 by Sir John Fastolf it is home to the

Caister Castle Motor Museum. The 90 foot

tower remains intact and a climb to the top offers

a magnificent view of the castle ruins and the

surrounding area.

This popular and very beautiful seaside resort is steeped in history, not least with the remains of a Roman fort built in 200AD. Caister is a great place to enjoy some of Britain’s most picturesque and family-friendly coastline, with kids playparks and refreshments all along the beach front. It’s also an ideal location to fly a kite from the beach! And it’s also great for walkers too! You could even walk all the way from Great Yarmouth and catch the bus back again.

GORLESTONSitting below cliff gardens and a grand promenade,

Gorleston’s glorious beach is a firm favourite with locals and visitors for lazy days in the sun.There’s a large paddling pool and yacht pond, beautiful lawns, bowling greens, tennis courts and a trim-trail on the cliff top where views of the beach, harbour and pier can be seen. Beachside

cafes and shops sell anything from buckets and spades to trendy sunshades and beach wear.

Gorleston also has an Edwardian theatre with shows throughout the year and a popular dining and dancing venue.

Other attractions include a pitch and putt golf course, amusements, and a selection of restaurants, pubs and cafés.
