This year, VBS is being offered through Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Kirkland from July 20—24. It will be a combination of online, at home, and video calls. It will include all the favorites – t-shirt, song, story, crafts, science, games, and snacks. Cost is $25.00 for first child; $20.00 each additional child. Looking Ahead: The Education Learning Team will be meeting to discuss topics, forums, books and possible presenters for the upcoming year. What things would you like us to look at for Sunday or mid-week education opportunities? What things are you interested in? What books/topics do you have in mind? How can we engage the larger Mukilteo community (either in-person or online) next year? Are you interested in leading a book study/Bible study/or topic of interest? Please email Pastor Pam (pastorpam@pointeofgrace.org) to let us know. We are excited to see where the Spirit swirls and guides us in the coming year!

MISSING CONNECTION? Pastor Pam is grateful for the Care and Prayer Team over these months of quarantine in doing regular check in’s with you all. If you would like a front lawn/porch visit with the pastor, please let us know. Pastor Pam is willing to come to you if you’re uncomfortable coming into the building. She’ll be wearing a mask and smile! Email the church at office@pointeofgrace.org with days and times that are best for you. Prayer in person is always the best.

Calling All Musicians - Come Make a Joyful Noise!

No matter your age or talent, we invite you to share a musical recording we can use as a prelude or postlude for our Worship services. Please email your recording to the church office (office@pointeofgrace.org) and we will include as we are able.

Summer Hymn Requests

If you have a favorite hymn or song you’d like to hear, please email the office and let us know. The musicians will attempt to fit them in this summer!

ATTENTION PARENTS: Plans are being developed for our Fall Education classes. Please register

your child/children by August 1st. We need a new form each year for each participant.

We need to know which group they will attend (i.e., Godly Play, Upper Elementary Sunday School, Confirmation, Middle School or High School. A registration form is included with today’s Grace Notes. Complete and return to the church office. You can also find this form online.

We also need volunteers to assist in these areas. If you are passionate about children, youth or family ministries, we need YOU! Please email Pastor Pam if you are able to volunteer.

We are seeking a Cleaning Crew!

Before we can open the building, a rotating cleaning crew needs to be established.

We are excited to report that a new sound/tech system will be installed soon in the Sanctuary to meet our need for streaming online. If you would like to be a part of this ministry, please email the church office. Volunteers will be trained once we return to holding our worship services in the building.

The July-August-September edition of Christ In Our Home publication is available now both in regular and large print. Please let the church office know if you want a copy. You can either drop by during office hours and pick up a copy or call if you want one mailed to you.

Pointe of Grace Community Garden is Growing! The first meeting via Zoom is today, July 2nd at 4:00 pm. If you would like to join the conversation at future meetings, please email Marcia Black at kenmarb@frontier.com. This opportunity is open to all.

Let’s Talk Emotions … It’s been a lot … let’s be honest with each other: Lots of changes … and all happening really quickly. Talking about our emotions is important. But sometimes it’s really hard to put into words what we are feeling—especially for children and teens. Trying to pull a word out of thin air to explain how we are feeling is hard. Attached to this newsletter you will find a “Soul Words List” to help. I personally have this list attached to my fridge. Anyone in the house at anytime, can walk by and check what they are feeling …. and maybe even share it with others around them. It’s good to talk about our emotions … it’s important to talk about our emotions! Be honest with yourselves and with each

other. Don’t bottle it up. Let’s stay healthy physically AND emotionally during these times.
