OBJECTIVE: -To standardize the operating instructions to configure GPRS, WAP & Email Account.
Procedure to configure GPRS, MMS, WAP [JAVA] & EMAIL Account.
Contact your Network operator for APN, Proxy address & proxy port as all these informations arerequired to set the Network account.
GPRS Settings:-
Menu SettingsNetwork settings data accountGPRS optionsadd create the Account asfollows
Account name : Optional [Example: Airtel MMS]APN : Provided by the Network operator[Example. : airtelmms.com]
Username & Password : Not required or as specified by the operator Then Save it.
Account name : Optional [Example: Mobile office]APN : Provided by the Network operator[Example: airtelgprs.com]Username & Password : Not required or as specified by the operator Then Save it.
Go to Menu browser Internet services Input address Enter the required site to browse[Example: http://www.google.com ].
Ensure you have the service subscription and the configuration values from your operator/serviceprovider.
MMS configuration Settings:-
Select Menu Messages Message settings profiles Add new to create a suitable dataaccount.
Profile Name : Optional.MMSC Address : As provided by the Service provider or Operator
[Example:http://100.1.201.171:10021/mmsc ].Data account : select GPRS then upload the above created data account
[Example: - Airtel MMS].Connection type : http Enter center Key
Use Proxy : YesProxy Address : 100.1.201.172Proxy Port : 9201Username & password : Not required or as specified by the operator.
Then donesave it profiles options activate the MMS profile.

Activate the WAP/Java Configuration as follows:
1. Select Connectivity Data account GPRS Add to create a suitable data account for Internet.
2. Then Java set the profile name
Profile Name : Optional [ Example : Java].
Home page : Optional [Example: http://www.google.com].
Note: Not even a single space should be left out.
Data account : SelectGPRS then upload the above created data account
[Example: mobile office airtel gprs.com]
Connection type : This could be either http or WAP as supported by your operator.
Connection Type Http or WAP center Key Use proxy Yes Enter
the proxy address [Example: 202.56.231.117]as provided by your
operator/service provider
Proxy port as provided by the Service provider.
Username & password : As specified.
3 .Select Browsersettings profilesjavaactivate.
Configuration for E-mail Account:-
Select Menu Messages Email Email accounts Options New account
message appears Start to create account? Select Yes.
Enter the e-mail address and select Options Enter a valid Email ID
[Example :[email protected]]
Note: Not even a single space should be left out & the cursor should appear next to the last letter.Select the required protocol and Options POP3 or IMAP4 Next data account is displayed
[Example: Mobile Office] NextIncoming server provided by the Service operator
[Example: pop.mail.yahoo.com or pop3.live.com].
Outgoing Server Provided by the Service operator
[Example: smtp.mail.yahoo.com or smtp.live.com].
User name of your Email ID [Example: [email protected]].Password of your Email ID [Example: **********].Advance settings set as per the requirement data account select always ask.
Enter the account name. Select Options Done. The e-mail account is saved.

Select Options Activate to activate the e-mail account.
For accounts that require secure mode e.g. gmail or hotmail,Select the account Options Edit Advance settings Incoming server Security
Select SSL/TLS or as applicable.
Similarly for outgoing server, select Options Edit Advance settings Outgoing server
Security and then select an appropriate security option.
To access your emails go to menu messages email send and receive
