Relief Program for Nepal Earthquake victim. : Youth For Peace Date: 25 th April – 31 st May, 2015 Description: A massive 7.8 earthquake struck Nepal on April 25 with series of powerful aftershocks. The death toll from the quake exceeded 8,000, and more than 22000 are injured. In addition, several priceless historic structures, infrastructures have been destroyed and Nepalese people are left with never forgotten grief. GPF India is helping volunteers and relief materials through "Rise Nepal” for relief. Rise Nepal has mobilized, trained and dispatched over hundreds volunteers. 1. Relief Program for Nepal Earthquake victim. : Youth For Peace

Date: 25th April – 31st May, 2015

Description: A massive 7.8 earthquake struck Nepal on April 25 with series of powerful aftershocks. The

death toll from the quake exceeded 8,000, and more than 22000 are injured. In addition, several priceless

historic structures, infrastructures have been destroyed and Nepalese people are left with never forgotten

grief.

GPF India is helping volunteers and relief materials through "Rise Nepal” for relief. Rise Nepal has

mobilized, trained and dispatched over hundreds volunteers. The volunteers have provided medical

services, sanitation awareness campaigns, rubble removal, and distribution of relief supplies, food services,

engineering expertise to assess infrastructural damages to houses, IT support, and constructing transitional

shelters our volunteer went to Nepal and assisting in educating and mobilizing the volunteers, and building

the temporary shelter and schools.

2. Program: Vashudhaiva Kutumbakam : Peace and Harmony though Ancient Indian wisdom

Date: 18th July, 2015

GPF India with partnership with Gandhi peace foundation India organized one day interaction

program on title on Vashudhaiva Kutumbakam : Peace and Harmony though Ancient Indian wisdom

There were 15th speaker from different background academic, spiritual, ngo and formal civil

servants who highlighted the import ants of ancient wisdom in 21st century. The program was chair

by Radha Bhatta, chairperson of Gandhi peace foundation.

3. Program: Youth for Peace: Empowering youth is empowering nation.

Date: 24th August – 3rd September, 2015

Description: GPF India organized one day seminar on youth for peace The participants of youth for peace

Program have organized the Seminar which equipped them to be better leaders and peace advocates. The

Seminar had various sessions at the GPF India Office, Mapple Hotel and Lodhi Road.

4. Program: Awareness on Human Trafficking, Good Governance and Service for child and senior

citizen

Volunteers and staff of gpf India have conducted the awareness program, on human trafficking,

Good governances and service for child and senior citizen at different part of Delhi on various date

with different strategic tool .

Program: Awareness Campaign on Human Trafficking

Date: 25th September, 2015

Description: Human trafficking in India is 20 to 65 millions mostly women and girls are trafficked

within the country for the purposes of commercial sexual exploitation and forced marriage

especially in those areas where the sex ratio is highly skewed in favour of men. A significant portion

of children are subjected to forced labour as factory workers, domestic servants, beggars, and

agriculture workers, and have been used as armed combatants by some terrorist and insurgent

groups. India is also a destination for women and girls from Nepal and Bangladesh trafficked for the

purpose of commercial sexual exploitation.

“Youth for Peace” Four Youth Thaneshor, Saru, Sharmila and Abinash took ownership to create an

awareness of this social evil. On 25th September, 2015 vishwavidyalaya New Delhi.

5. Program: Youth for Peace Leadership Conference

Date: 1st October, 2015

Venue: OP Jindal Global University, Sonipat, Haryana

Description: Youth For Peace : Leadership Conference on ‘I Choose to be Peace Advocate’ was

successfully held at O. P. Jindal Global University wherein 45 people including the speakers

attended the program. The program was chair by C. Raj Kumar Vice chancellor of OP Jindal Global

6. Program: Presentation on ‘Good Governance’

Date: 26th November, 2015

Description: On 26 Nov 2015, Global Peace Foundation India held speech program on the topic

“Good Governance” at Daisy Dales Senior Secondary School, New Delhi with a view to improve the

understanding of importance of good governance among the students.

Over 100 students participated the program and the speaker Neha Singh was declared winner by

the panel of judges.

7. Program: Round Table Discussion for Global Ethical Framework

Date: 17th December, 2015

Description: On 17th December, 2015, 40 Peace loving leaders gathered at O. P. Jindal Global

University, Prof. Dr C. Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor, O.P. Jindal Global University and expressed their

views on peace and harmony for better and brighter world.

8. Program: Round Table Discussion for Global Ethical Framework

Date: 20th December, 2015

Description: On 20th December, 2015, 45 Peace loving leaders had Round Table Discussion to

frame Global Ethical Framework with the vision of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam : One Family Under

God at Shangri-La's Eros Hotel, Ashoka Road, New Delhi.

9. Program: Fundraiser

Date: 13th February, 2016

Description: Youthful Volunteers organised a Fund raising event on the eve of Valentines Day with selling

the chocolate at Connaught places objective to donate stationary items to students at Shri Gyan Gangothri

Vikas Sanstha as well as develop their confidence and leadership skill where participants have collected

1200 rupees. Volunteer buy stationery product and distribute to them.

10. Program: Awareness and Presentation on Human Trafficking

Date: 15th February, 2016

Description: “People trafficking is the fastest growing means by which people are enslaved, the fastest

growing international crime, and one of the largest sources of income for organised crime".(UN office on

Drugs and crime).The United Nations has estimated around 800,000 to 4 million men ,women and children

to be trafficked into slavery every year.Delhi is the transit point and hub for illegal trade.

GPF-Indi presented on Human trafficking and actively engaged the members of Youth Tech Hub-Karol Bagh

to raise awareness against this insidious transnational crime.

11. Program: Interactive Session on Personal Hygiene

Date: 16th February, 2016

Description: GPF-India presented on 'Personal Hygiene' and had an interactive session with the

children studying at Shri Gyan Gangotri Vikas Sanstha- NGO with an objective to aid the

marginalized society in Uttam Nagar ,New Delhi.

12. Program: Youth Social Meetup

Date: 17th February, 2016

Description: GPF-India volunteers setup a social meetup with AIESEC,Delhi University President and

members of Youth Tech Hub to initiate further ties and plan joint events.

Date: 27th February, 2016

Description: Initiation of 'Youth Forum'-a platform to empower young people to participate pro

actively and exchange ideas to improve their own lives and those of others through collective

learning. In the current uncertain political and social context that affects young people, they can be

powerful catalysts for positive change both in their community and nation.

14. Program: Service and education for Slum children.

Date: 10th March, 2016

Description: "The slum is the measure of civilization." Children who grow up in slums are up with

many challenges and become easy targets of abuse and anti social activities.

GPF staff and volunteeres visited Nizamuddin Basthi along with the volunteers from 'Human for

Humanity' to spend time with the children there and distributed clothes and food.

15. Program: social awareness for corruption by Signature Campaign

Date: 13th March, 2016

Description: Corruption is not a new phenomenon.The social evil continues to manifest itself in

multiple spheres."In 2016, India was ranked 76th out of 168 countries in Transparency

International's Corruption Perceptions Index."

GPF,India staff and volunteers conducted a 'Signature campaign to raise awareness against

corruption' at Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering alongside a MUN session which was being

held at the college.

16. Program: Youth empowerment

Date: 19th March, 2016

Description: Youth is the trustee of prosperity"- Benjamin Disraeli. The 5th 'Youth Forum' was held

at Patel Nagar Youth Tech Hub.The interactive session on the theme 'Women Violence,Drug

Addiction' and an English speaking session was held at the venue amidst a gathering of 20

youngsters who actively engaged in the aforementioned topics.

17. Program: Round Table Discussion participation

Date: 19th March, 2016

Description: GPF volunteers were a part of the Round table discussion on 'Harmony among

Religions-Do's and Donts' at the Institute of Harmony and Peace Studies.They voiced there

concerns on the topic based on the research they have been involved in during their posting period.

18. Program: Session on health and Hygiene

Date: 25th March, 2016

Description: GPF India Volunteers and staff did an awareness program on Personal Hygiene and

Sanitation through a presentation and practical demonstration at Education Research centre at

Kusumpur Pahari community centre.

19. Program: Youth Empowerment

Date: 26th March, 2016

Description: The 6th Youth forum saw the presence of around 25 youth who came together to share their

thoughts and experiences on Interpersonal conflict within youth. The guest speaker was Ms. Anneka Singh

hailing from London, an intern at the Center for Social Equity and Inclusion who resonated with the

sentiments of the group and gave an insight into the gross atrocities faced by marginalized groups in India.

Date: 29th March, 2016

Description: "Development of any society, state or country depends upon the education policy

adopted by it and the most important role is played by Primary education".

GPF Youth Exchange participants were at the“National level interface on the 5 years grass root

implementation of Right to Education " held at the Constitutional Club.

21. Program: Youth Empowerment

Date: 2nd April, 2016

Description: As being the most active population of the world, it is our responsibility to Tackle the

global issues and create peace and Harmony. With the thought of establishing effective youth

activisium Global Peace Foundation Youth Forum Conducted Seventh Youth Forum Meetup with

youths with same goal and vision : To make world better place to live in and enlighten self

realization. The session was presided over by Mr. Prabin Gupta as the chief guest who spoke about

'Meaning of Life' followed by an interactive session.

22. Program: Hygiene and English Speaking Session

Date: 12th April, 2016

Description: GPF volunteers and staff presenting on Personal Hygiene followed by an English speaking

session at Youth Tech Hub-Faridabad. These sessions are aimed at spreading awareness and forging ties

with the youth base for developing a healthy and safe community environment.

23. Program: Violent against Women and Volunteerism

Date: 13th April, 2016

Description: GPF-Volunteers gave a presentation on violence against women and volunteerism and

had an interactive session on the aforementioned subjects at Yuwa organisation working towards

Youth Empowerment.

24. Program: Lecture on Women Empowerment

Date: 19th April, 2016

Description: " We need to respect the women & have to develop their self-confidences so that they

can be save by them self. We need to respect the women & have to develop their self-confidences,

raise the voice against women violence, we man need to change our thoughts regarding women"

Shreya Tripathi of Grade 9th from Rajakiya Prathiva Vikas Vidhayala Lajpat Nagar -1, reflect these

words after listening the lecture from Nabina, Sanjeena, Ranju and Anu on 19th April, 2016. One

Day Program was conducted for the grade 8,9 &10th Students there were more than 100 students

joined the program.

25. Program: Youth Empowerment

Date: 31st April, 2016

Description: Youth Forum was initiated with an objective to enable youngsters to share and appreciate life

experiences and deliberate on topics of interest. Tutoring interested students on English language skills

was the underlying focus. The concluding session which was held at the GPF office on 30th April had

volunteers providing a feedback on the 10 sessions held so far and signature campaign against corruption.
