5 Physiography & Drainage and Geology
The lease area is showing almost undulated and hilly topography. The highest
assumed RL is 100 Mts. in the lease area while lowest RL is 99.00 Mts. in
the applied area. This provides an elevation difference of 1.0 Mts. the general
slope of the area is towards North direction. There is no seasonal nalla
flowing through mining lease area. The spot RL and other features are
marked in the surface plan and surface geological plan plate no. 3 & plate
no.4 respectively. These plans are prepared on a scale of 1:1000.
REGIONAL GEOLOGY OF THE AREA-
The regional and general geology of the area has been referred from an article
of Sh. Sinha Roy & Gupta and others, G.S.I. this article was published in
India mineral 1983. During his investigation of the area in 1969-70 noted an

Local Geology:
The area under consideration falls under Punagarh Group of rocks. Mining
lease area is covered by the Alluvium and some rock exposure is seen on the
surface. Geologically, recent to sub-recent formation having alluvium,
Weathered Quartzite and Quartzite beds are found.
Generalized litho-unites exposed in the applied lease area is listed below:
1. Alluvium 0- 0.5 mt.
2. Quartzite 0.5- 45 Mt.
6 Detail of earlier removed masonary stone lif any -
Applied area is Govt land and has not been removed in this area by
applicant.

appropriate place for development in plantation.
There is no water stream river and nallah nearby and passing through the
applied area. There is water source of drinking and agriculture purpose is
ground water.
10 Plan for rain water diversion/if required -
The applied area is undulating of western rajasthan it is arid climate
average annual rainfall is about more than 200 mm. rain water scarcity is
too much so there is no requirement of rain water diversion.

11Plan for Extraction or removal of Masonary Stone and requiredmachinery
The masonary Stone is overlain by soil so for the exploitation of mineral
there is requirement of removal of the over burden and stack soil cover
separately at the appropriate location. Since the deposit occurs at a depth
of 0-1.0 mts and the thickness of the deposit is sufficient to be
economically mineable. Semi mechanized open cast mining is the suitable
method for mining. The mining will be made during the mining as per
requirement. The height of the benches will be kept 6.0 mt in mineral.
Occasionally overburden will be removed and transportation of Masonary
Stone from face to pit top will also be made Semi mechanized where as
waste will be directly loaded in to tractor trolleys. The overburden is
unconsolidated and Alluvium . In view the above drilling and blasting of
rock would not be required.
12. Details of production and dispatch of masonary stone:-
The applied area is granted for STP for a period of 15 months year .
proposed production of the year is 220000 tons.
13 METHOD OF ESTIMATION OF RESERVES ."..The geological cross-sectional method of reserves estimation is adopted
for calculating the reserves. The reserves are calculated by following
formula: ~~Volume of mineral = Area of section X sectional influence le* r~j-\ ~:)Mineral in tones= Volume of mineral x bulk density \1 f~J,\g-~. ..)
\. ,0 >--.._ " !
The details are as follows: '~!_!:;;-:.:j:/Presently the reserves are computed for Masonary
"~\.f~·.
Page 9
Reserves:
The prospected pit nearby the area shows the presence of flat Masonary
Stone bed of almost uniform thickness of homogeneous nature. Thus, plan
area method is adopted for assessment of reserves.
A. PROVED RESERVES
On the basis of previous experience of similar type deposit whole area has
been taken from surface under the proved category of reserves. The thickness
of proved reserve of Masonary Stone has been taken 20.0m, will give volume
of R.O.M. to get the tonnage of mineral volume is multiply by the bulk
density.

16. Method Of Mining
Proposed year wise development for 15 Months
First year Development & Production:
In the first year of mining will be done by extending the working pit in East
and west. one bench will be developed in the overburden at the RL of 100 to
94 mts . four benches will be developed in the Masonary Stone bed at the RL
100.0 mts. to 94.00mts. , 94.00mts to 89.00mts , 89.00mts to 83.00mts and
89.00 mts. to 83.00 mts . advancing towards east and west directions. Total
Marketable Masonary Stone 219999.93(2,20,000) tonnes will be produced in

Air pollution caused by deployment of JCB for removal of overburden and
playing of truck/tractors, which generates dust. The air pollution in the
mining area causes respiratory diseases and eye ailment.
Controlling dust, water will be sprinkled daily on temporary unpaved roads in
the applied area and dust mask shall be provided to operator and mine
workers.
(ii) Ambient Noise & Vibration Levels
The proposed mining is semi mechanized opencast method but some amount
of noise will be there due to JCB which will be deployed on hire basis for
removal of overburden and movement of truck/tractor, which shall be within
limits of safety. Earplugs shall be provided to operator and mineworker.
(iii) Dust Suppression: The proposed mmmg is semi mechanized open cast
method and mineral is overlain by thin layer of dune sand so dust will be
generated from mining and transportation of mineral by vehicles. For control
of dust applicant will be done water sprinkling on road and mining area. And
applicant will be done plantation on boundary of applied area.
18. Programme of Afforestation
The mining of Masonary Stone is carried out for earth work, after removal of
the mineral land will be used for water reservoir. It will be helpful for
recharging ground water. Applicant will be plantation out side the applied
area taking permission from compo.nent authority. ;;%~~:~.·~~~~7~~\.r- II i, '}'«!I [9-. \'1 -"~'l':: '~'\.f' \~\i - /'f~~' -...~~~ 't-( I~... ~ {." ,.. "/ ,~ -t l-.~· - .' ;\ ~;,.,. '~jJ'l_it ..,. \~~ \ ,..~; ::"to,I ' . ...._;; ,'. , ,~.!<c\ - -e- ~,
