Parameters / Issues Option 1 (Existing Alignment)
Option 2 Option 3 (Greenfield)
Remarks
8.
9. Connectivity
The site follows the existing alignment from Gangheri- Proposed Narnaul Bypass. With proposed bypasses at major districts. The existing alignment does not provide good connectivity as compared to Opton-3
The proposed alignment provides connectivity to Ambala and Rohtak, but passes through a lot of major built-up areas.
The site is approachable by road. Start point is Gangheri (Kurukshetra District), 10Kms from Pehowa towards Ismailbad and terminates at Narnaul Bypass in Mahendragarh District. It provides quicker alternative to traffic coming from Ambala and going towards Rohtak.
10. Project Cost (Cr.) (Civil Construction Cost )
4034 3634 3411
Based on the above study the following observations are there:-
1. Option – 3 seems most feasible as the length is less as compared to the Options. Also it provides better alternative
from Pehowa-Rohtak-Narnaul. It will also cater away the traffic of NH-1 on itself.
2. Option – 1 cannot be executed as the requirement is for 6-Lane and there is no available ROW for 6-Lane in this
option.
3. Option – 2 passes through a lot of major built-up areas, which will lead to major R&R, and at the end will not be
feasible.
Option – 3 is found to have less impact on Environment & Social components, hence it is followed.
