e-Governance Champions Programme Chief Information Officer Commitment to Public Service Delivery TRAINING PROGRAMME CO Department of Electronics & Information Technology Ministry of Communications & Information Technology Government of India About the CIO Programme: As part of its Capacity Building efforts for accelerating the implementation of the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP), the Department of Information Technology (DeitY) has taken a number of initiatives for specialized training of the officers of the Central and State Governments. The CIO’s Programme is one such initiative. Two CIO Pilot programmes have been conducted and have been highly appreciated. The Objective of the Programme: officers from within Line Ministries/Departments (both at the Centre and States), who are leading or identified to lead MMPs under the NeGP or other e-Governance projects and help them understand implementation from the very basic elements to complex issues pertaining to e-Governance project execution. To train selected Likely outcome of the Programme: e-Governance Champions who can lead or support as the second-in-command role in e-Governance projects across the country. A talent pool of Participant Profile : Officers at the Centre/State/UT in the cadre of Director, Additional Director, Joint Director and equivalent with 8-10 years’ experience in Government Sector. Applications are being invited by NeGD from MHFW,

GoI.

More than one nomination could be sent from one

State/UT/Department. However the selection

committee may limit the number of candidates,

keeping in view the need to ensure uniform spread

across the country.

downloaded from www.nisg.org

The Nominating department shall communicate

approval of the competent authority for undertaking

the International training.
