Company ProfileThe CompanyDivalls earthmoving and Bulk Haulage, incorporating Goulburn Sand & Soil, was established in 1991 by two brothers Andrew and Michael Divall. Operating from a company owned and operated quarry in Goulburn New south wales, The company has since grown to the stage where it employs over 140 local people and is a major contributor to the local economy.

MULCHES

Pine chip 50mm golden chip:Great as ground cover for moisture retention in garden beds or veggie patches. Will turn grey as it starts to break down.

Leaf Mulch:Recycled blend of mulches, ranging from 50mm to fines. Great for moisture retention suitable for all vegetation. Great in high wind areas where mulch is hard to keep down as it is one of the heavier mulches and very cost effective.

Divall’s Enviro Mulch:Recycled mulch derived from our Green Waste Recycling Program. Size ranges from 20mm-50mm, Great for moisture retention as it has already started to break down so rather than absorbing the majority of the moisture, it keeps it in the ground where it is needed, also great in high wind areas as it is one of our heavier mulches.

1” Tan Bark- 25mm or 1” Pine Bark:Great decorative mulch suitable for all vegetation, suitable for high wind areas because of its size has a good amount of weight and is less likely to blow away.

10mm Tan Bark:Decorative mulch, Chocolate brown in colour with a flicker of golden brown throughout, Great for moisture retention lay at .50mm-.75mm depth for best results.

Red chip 20-25mm red enhanced (dyed) woodchip:Made from recycled plantation timber and chip which is then coloured with environmentally friendly dye so it won`t affect any vegetation. Colour will fade with age and as it starts to break down.

Eucy Mulch:Eucalyptus mulch or eucy mulch is a fine chip which is honey/golden brown in colour. Eucy mulch is a long lasting mulch great for moisture retention.

Soft fall:Is an 8mm pine bark which complies with AS/NZ 4422 and can be supplied with a certificate of approval for use under play equipment. I can also be used as ground/bed cover for moisture retention.

Wood shavings:Great as stable bedding. Can be added to compost/mulch for the garden and to clean up oil spills.

Straw:Available in bales, straw can be used for erosion control, mulch, stable bedding or added to compost/soil for extra moisture retention.

Pea straw:Pea straw makes a great mulch, especially good for veggie gardens or no dig gardens. Because peas are a nitrogen fixing plant the straw will return nitrogen to the soil as it breaks down adding valuable organic matter to the soil. Available in bales, coverage per bale is roughly 7m2-10m2 depending on desired depth.

Sugar cane:Organic sugar cane mulch is made from dried sugar cane leaves and tops that are screened to eliminate dirt and dust. It is the cleanest cane mulch on the market with the benefit of soil insulation and moisture retention for healthy garden beds. Coverage 10-12m2 per bale.

SANDS

Sydney beach sand:A sharp, free flowing, fine dune sand generally white in colour. This sand is screened to remove large fragments or slithers of shell that may be present. The natural leaching and the production processes of washing and screening ensure a clean, low shell and salt free sand with high silica content. Uses include: Gap sand to sweep over the top of pavers, tiling, rendering and as sand pit/long jump pit sand.

Washed yellow sand:Fine washed sand yellow in colour, uses include: tiling, rendering, sand pit sand, gap sand to sweep on top of pavers or for use as bedding sand for pipes, conduit, pools or water tanks.

Washed coarse river sand:Washed coarse river sand is graded to a -3mm specification, uses include: slurry mix for garden edging/kerb works, base for under pavers, concrete mix, bedding for retaining wall blocks, sand for round yards, bedding pipes just to name a few.

50/50 Brickies sand:Local bricklaying sand mortar mix which is a blended off white mix suitable for all work from laying bricks, blocks and stone walls to bagging use with off white cement for whitest mortar results.

Rocla Brickies sand:Off white mortar mix suitable for all types of brick work including stone walls, use with off white cement to achieve the whitest mortar. Also suitable for rendering and bagging.

Red Brickies sand:Best suited brickies sand when trying to match a dark/ red mortar can be lightened with the use of off white cement.

Yellow sand:Best suited as soft base sand or fill sand, can be used under water tanks, swimming pools or as bedding sand for pipes or conduit.

Bungendore sand:White fatty/loamy sand best suited as bedding sand for water tanks or swimming pools can be mixed with other brickies sands for colour variations to match old mortar colour. Can be used for bagging.

ROAD BASE-20mm Shale Road Base:

Is crushed and screened shale to a maximum of 20mm, it is designed for roadways/driveways and pathways but has many uses including building solid bases, levelling for slab preparation, ground cover to prevent mud just to name a few.

-50mm Road Base:

Crushed shale 50mm to fines, Uses are similar to -20mm road base but better for where the job is more server e.g. pot holes are deeper or greater depth needs filling. -50mm would be the best option as it is a cheaper alternative. -20mm could be used over the top for a smoother finish.

Drew’s Road Base:

Unscreened 50mm + Crushed road base. Best used as fill in ruts or footings for house slabs.

20mm Recycled Road Base:

Crushed recycled concrete screened to a maximum of 20mm. Great for roads and driveways.

Site Access:

50-80mm coarse crushed recycled concrete designed for new building site access, to prevent mud from site being tracked onto the road on exiting and to make access to site easier in all weather conditions.

Cold mix:

A ready to use bitumen for patching potholes in sealed driveways-Easiest to work with on warmer days.

CRUSHED BLUE METALSCrusher Dust:-3mm crushed blue metal. Uses include: under pavers, Concrete slabs, as fill, bedding for pipes, as a base for water tanks and can also be used for pathways.

5mm Metal:Clean crushed blue metal. Uses include: Bedding PVC pipes (plumbers spec), drainage or for decorative use in landscaping such as footpaths.

10mm Metal:Clean crushed blue metal. Uses include: As a drainage material or for for decorative landscape purposes such as footpaths.

20mm Metal:Clean crushed blue metal. Best for absorption trenches, back fill for retaining wall drainage as well as many more landscaping and plumbing needs.

20mm Nattery Recycled Aggregate:Crushed aggregate may contain fines. Ideal for back filling retaining walls, absorption trenches or as coarse ground coverage.

Gabion Rock:100mm-200mm Crushed bluestone, ideal for gabion wall baskets, water diversion or use as a drainage aggregate. Can also be used in drystone walls, as garden edging or for features in landscape design.

Railway ballast:50-80mm crushed bluestone typically for use on railway line but can be used for drainage or as decorative mulch for water retention in gardens or as a feature in landscape garden design.

Concrete Mix:Concrete mix is a mixture of coarse washed river sand and 7mm-20mm blue metal designed as an all-purpose concrete mix to use in anything from slabs,footings,postholes to garden edging. Also available mixed with a straight 10mm aggregate and a fine sand for a smoother finish.

SOILS

Tegra:Clay based sandy loam topsoil, best suited as fill or for building up areas preparing for grass or garden establishment.

Menangle Topsoil:This dark brown, sandy loam topsoil is great for top dressing the lawn or levelling ready for grass. Can also be used as turf underlay.

Eco Soil:Great for turf underlay and also a cheaper alternative for garden beds, eco soil is a mixture of premium sandy loam topsoil, washed coarse river sand, manure and recycled green waste for added moisture retention.

Soil Mix:Best suited for garden beds or veggie patches, soil mix is a mix-ture of premium sandy loam topsoil, manure, compost, recycled green waste and pot ash. Soil mix is a great ready to use soil which will suit all vegetation.

Botany Humus:This humus product is ideal for conditioning nutrient depleted soils and contains composted pine bark, spent coffee grounds and composted organics. Great to add to an old veggie garden, or to mix in with existing soil and start fresh.

Cow Manure:Straight composted cow manure is great as a soil conditioner in nutrient depleted soils and gardens.

Mushroom Compost:Mushroom compost is one of the richest fertilisers and soil conditioners. It can be spread over the ground or dug into soil, as its ingredients are almost totally decomposed. Mushroom Compost is a blend of recycled organic ingredients including manure.

Potting Mix:A special blend of composted sawdust, soil, composted pine bark and sand which is suited for all vegetation best option for pot plants or when transplanting.

Gypsum:Recycled gypsum is used to break down clay based soils and allow water to penetrate easier. Then soil is added such as soil mix to assist with planting.

DECORATIVE PEBBLES & GRANITES20mm Cowra White:White washed quartz pebble screened to 20mm in size, Decorative pebble great as a mulch to prevent weeds and to brighten up gardens beds or areas used in landscape designs such as ponds.

10mm Cowra White:White washed quartz screened to 10mm in size perfect for garden paths or for use in landscape designs E.G between pavers in a walk way.

8-14mm Cowra Gold:Golden coloured washed quartz screened between 8 and 14mm. Small enough to use on pathways and big enough to work well as a decorative mulch.

Black/Red Scoria:Black or red volcanic rock 14mm in size great as decorative mulch.

20mm Crushed Brick:Recycled crushed brick screened to 20mm in various colours great as a decorative mulch.

10mm Crushed Brick:Recycled crushed brick Screened to 10mm, similar to the 20mm brick in colour but can be used as a decorative material for path-ways or driveways as it is fine enough to walk on comfortably.

200mm Graded River Round:Large Natural River round stone. Great for water features and can be used in dry stone walls.

50mm River Round:Mixture of natural colours including browns, creams and beiges screened to 50mm in size. Great as natural looking decorative mulch or use in ‘natural look` water features.

20mm River Round:Mixture of natural colours screened to 20mm in size. Great for around pavers on pathways or as a decorative mulch.

10mm River Round:Smooth rounded pebble 10mm in size. Mixed natural shades of beige and grey. Great for pathways as it is small enough to walk on comfortably. Can also be used for bore hole drilling.

20mm Exposed River Round:Similar to the natural river rounds the exposed round is a little brighter with added white and gold colours and is a crushed stone rather than smooth.

10mm Exposed River Round:Similar to the 10mm river round but a little brighter with added colours: white, gold and light blue. Even though it isn’t a rounded stone it is still small enough to use on pathways and walkways.

Lachlan River StoneDark brown 10mm natural river stone, great as a decorative mulch and for footpaths as it is more of a flat river stone rather than a round or crushed.

10mm Capital Quarry Stone:10mm crushed white stones with a fine base to help with com-paction. Suitable for driveways, footpaths and walkways. Can also be used in landscaping as a decorative mulch.

20mm Limestone:Crushed white lime stone with a small amount of grey flicker throughout the stone. Alternative to the washed quartz, looks great as a decorative mulch.

DECOMPOSED GRANITESDecomposed Granite is available in red or yellow. Great for footpaths, walkways, driveways, entertainment areas and tennis courts. This product compacts well to give a smooth finish and is stable under foot. We can also add cement powder to help with erosion control and make the finish harder. Can also be used in the construction of rammed earth houses when stabilized.

VARIOUS LARGE ROCKSWe stock a mixture of large rocks suitable for use in landscaping as feature rocks, garden edging, stone walls, gabion baskets. These Rocks range from 100mm - 1m in diameter and vary between granite, basalt, sand stone, river round and natural bush rock.

CEMENT & CONCRETING SUPPLIES

General Purpose Cement:General purpose grey cement suited to all needs including but not limited to brickies mortar, concrete and stabilising granite, road base or sands. complies with AS 3972.

Off White Cement:Typically used in brickies mortar to get a white coloured mortar for brick joints. Can also be used when stabilising granite so it doesn`t affect the colour. This product complies with AS 3972.

Rapid setSuitable for posthole applications where lower strength is acceptable.

Concrete mixA proportioned blend of dry aggregate, graded sands and cement. Suitable for all general purpose applications.

Sand & Cement:A proportioned mix of selected graded sand and cement binders for patching, bedding and landscaping work. Can be used for bedding rocks in garden edging.

Builders Clay:A super fine, air separated fire clay (Also known as kaolinic clay), Typically used for rendering or in mixes where heat will be pres-ent in use e.g. fire pits or pizza ovens.

Plaster Lime:A hydrated lime conforming to AS 1672.1 (Limes for Building). Can be added to brickies mortar to make the mix more pliable.

Bond Crete:Developed in 1951, Bond Crete has become a proven per-former and evolved into the most versatile bonding and sealing agent available. Bond Crete contains an exclusive resin additive ensuring maximum bonding strength. Bond Crete is widely used in the building and renovating industry. Available in 1ltr, 4ltr and 20ltr.

Bycol (clear):Diggers Bycol Clear provides a more durable mortar and concrete by reducing segregation and bleeding. Available in 1ltr, 5ltr or 20ltr drums.

Hi-tech Stencilcrete:Stockist of Hi-Tech Stencilcrete products including: Stencils, colour hardeners, sealers and all products needed for spray on application.

Mesh/Deformed Bar:Stocking 2.4m x 6m in 2 grades-F72 and F82 and deformed bar for concreting in various grades.

Concrete Chairs:50/65 and 75/90 bar chairs available in bags of 100 used to hold mesh in the slab

Foam joint:Can be used in all standard concrete construction, such as highways, runways, parking garages, driveways, pathways and can also be used as a buffer between dissimilar materials such as columns, manhole covers, and adjacent constructions.

Black jack:IIs put in fresh concrete to control random cracking from concrete curing too rapidly.

Wooden Pegs:Available in 50 x 50 x 450mm, 50 x 50 x 600mm and 50 x 50 x 900mm for constructing / holding boxing in place.

Black Plastic:For concrete underlay, comes in 4mx50m rolls.

CIVIL AND LANDCARE

Heavy Duty Barrier Mesh:1mx50m Parra webbing in fluro orange, Barrier mesh is ideal to barricade off a hazardous site or to stop any traffic from accessing a particular location.

Star Pickets:1650mm in height suitable for all-purpose use.

Geofabric:Bidim is a nonwoven needle punched geotextile made from polyester. It is available in 1m, 2m or 6m wide rolls and provides separation, filtration, protection and reinforcement functions in engineering projects.

Green Pipes:The Green Pipe is widely recognised as a cost effective and environmentally friendly alternative for stormwater and drainage systems. Approved and used by councils throughout Australia for stormwater and sewage re-use systems. Ease of handling and installation solves many difficult access issues and at the same time reduces machinery requirements. The fully installed and life-cycle cost is lower than comparable products for most applications it is manufactured in 6 metre lengths creating fewer joints during installation, improving laying rates and minimizing potential leakage points. The Green Pipe is tough. Even the highest level acidic soils have no effect on it so that once installed it will last indefinitely. It is easily cut with a chainsaw, circular saw or angle grinder.

Concrete Pipes, Pits, Headwalls, Culverts:We stock a wide range of concrete products to suit all jobs from farm access and drainage to larger civil and earthworks projects.

Socked Aggline:Ag Pipe has a number of applications at home, at the farm or at a construction site and is available in 65mm and 100mm x 20m,50m and 100m rolls. Mainly used for drainage in retaining walls.

Jute Mesh:Jute Mesh is an organic, flexible, loose-woven jute ‘cargo-net’ mesh. Used for erosion control and seed establishment. An in-expensive and flexible product, easily separated to fall around existing vegetation. The coarse nature of the fibres assists in capturing windblown soil and native seeds.

Sand Bags:Hessian or poly sand bags are perfect for silt control or to slow down or direct the flow of unwanted water. They can also be used as weights to hold down items such as signs and umbrellas in high wind areas.

Silt bags:Designed to be filled with a small free flowing aggregate such as 5mm metal to filter water that flows through and help prevent run off of silt and other contaminants into waterways.

Soil con mix:Is a mixture of seeds designed specifically for re-vegetation and erosion control is a mixture of, Rye Corn, Australian Phalarius, Cocks-foot, Victorian Rye, Te-tilla Rye, Crusader, Hi-fer, Crimson Clover and Tahoura Clover.

Silt fence:comes in 770mmx50m and 770x100m rolls. Silt fences are often used as perimeter controls, typically used in combination with sediment basins and sediment traps, as well as erosion controls. They are designed to retain sediment in place where soil is being disturbed by construction processes.

Tree stakes:Available in 50X50X1.8M, 50X50X2.4M AND 25X25X1.8 suitable for staking trees and any other vegetation.

Lawn seed:Goulburn Blend-Turf like Fescue, Fine Rye, and Kentucky Blue Grass designed specifically for our cooler climate in winter and dry climate through summer. Available in 2.5kg bags and 5kg bags depending on application, 5kg should cover 50m2 roughly. Playground mix- Perennial Rye, Creeping Red Fescue, Bent Grass, Kentucky blue grass designed as a softer yet tougher grass for the back yard of family homes suited for anyone with children or pets also available in 2.5kg and 5kg bags.

Railway sleepers:A grade railway sleepers can be used for retaining walls, garden beds, landscaping, making a bench or many other uses.

Decorative concrete sleepers:1.8mx.200mmx.080mm Concrete sleepers are available in a select colour range. Also available with a wood grain texture. They are great for garden bed or small non load bearing retaining walls.

Adbri Masonry retaining wall blocks and pavers:As a re-seller of adbri Masonry we offer a wide range of retaining wall blocks suitable for raised garden beds, garden edging or retaining walls we also have a wide selection of pavers.

Versatile Concrete Pavers:Local handmade pavers are available in Charcoal, Terracotta, Sandstone and Concrete colour, available from 300mm-500mm square pavers.

Weed mat:1830mm x 50m roll of weed mat for weed prevention best used when covered with a decorative mulch as this will double the prevention of weeds and also retain moisture.

TURFCO-TURFRTF Fescue:RTF Fescue will handle the harsh winter climates and frosts of the Southern Highlands and Goulburn area. Grub Guard:All gardeners need to control lawn grub nasties to reduce the

Being members of the Australian firewood suppliers association (Member no 077) we pride ourselves in supplying the best quality and seasoned red and yellow box firewood. Our firewood is sold by the tonne over our weighbridge so there is no guess work involved in how much you are getting or paying for. No load is too big or too small. If you don`t have a ute or box trailer, fill up the car boot or take advantage of our delivery service which is available Monday to Saturday. Our firewood is cut and split a size to suit most fireplaces from small combus-tion stoves to large outdoor fire pits. There is a good mixture of smaller pieces to get the fire going and larger bits to keep it burn-ing through the night. Also available are our 20kg bags of kindling to make starting the fire as easy as possible. Customers travel over 150kms to take advantage of our high quality service and product.
