Jesus

bodily resurrection, but we are those who have experienced God’s love,

forgiveness and work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. So, what does it mean for us,

his disciples today, to be his witnesses in our communities?

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

Would you like to put a sparkle in the eyes of

a child? Are you eager to put a smile on a

child's face? If the answer is 'Yes!' then

please consider donating to the Operation

Christmas Child Shoe-box Project. Each

month from March to October we accept

donations to fill the boxes, or cash to assist

with the postage.

In August we are asking for donations of: Toys. Things such as tennis balls,

cars, skipping ropes, marbles, yo-yos, slinkies, musical instruments, finger

puppets etc.

Remember, things have to fit in a shoe box!

Each Sunday morning a lime green tub sits under the Missions notice board just

waiting to be filled. We thank you in advance for your help with this project.

THE CHALLENGE OF THE CHURCH

n this series, we have

been exploring two

ideas. Today, the

Church faces many

challenges from the

rapid changes taking

place in society, making

life a challenge for the

Church. At the same

time, the very existence

of the Church in and of itself is a challenge to the world because Jesus

calls us to be a light to the world. What does this mean for our lives

individually and for the ministry and mission of Hobart Baptist Church?
