Les presentamos un resumen del PGA SHOW donde vimos la presentación de los productos ofrecidos por las marcas más reconocidas, de ahí nos pasamos al torneo que hoy por hoy es el más importante en nuestro país, el “Mayakoba Golf Classic” que con quinto año consecutivo, nos dio muestra del mejor nivel de juego y contó con la participación de Lorena Ochoa en el PRO-Am así como de jugadores de PGA tan reconocidos como Jhonattan Vegas y John Daly.Por último, estuvimos en el Tianguis Turístico de Acapulco, donde se reúnen la crema y nata del sector turístico, como las mejores cadenas hoteleras, aerolíneas y agencias de viajes mayoristas entre muchas otras empresas del sector, buscando la promoción turística de México, el cual termino con muchos cierres de negocios que auguran un crecimiento importante para nuestro medio a nivel nacional así que esperen muy buenas noticias próximamente.Hasta pronto!

No muy lejos de El Cairo se encuentra Dashur, situada a unos 40 km al sur en una zona del desierto de la ribera occidental del río Nilo. Dashur es esencialmente conocida por poseer una amplia necrópolis real. Representa el sitio más antiguo de Egipto, albergando a dos de las pirámides más antiguas, grandes y mejor preservadas de todo Egipto: La Pirámide Acodada y la Pirámide Roja, probable lugar de sepultura del faraón Seneferu.

Por ser una atracción subterránea escapa de la atención de cualquier turista. Sin embargo, se encuentra a las afueras de la emblemática catedral de Notre-Dame de Paris. En ésta cripta permanecen los restos del antecesor de la antigua ciudad galorromana Lutecia, que creció a partir del siglo I antes de Cristo. En verdad un sitio fascinante para visitar y una delicia para cualquier fan de la historia romana.

Not far from Cairo, Dashur is located about 40 km south in a desert area on the west bank of the Nile. Dashur is essentially known to possess an extensive royal necropolis. It represents the oldest site of Egypt, hosting two of the oldest, largest and best-preserved pyramids of all Egypt: The Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid, probable burial site of the Pharaoh Sneferu.

Being an underground attraction escapes the attention of any tourist. However, it is located outside the emblematic cathedral Notre-Dame de Paris. Inside this crypt are the remains of city’s Gallo-Roman predecessor, the ancient city of Lutetia, which grew from the first century B.C. Truly a fascinating site to visit and a real treat for any Roman history fan.

Zona arqueológica fortificada, en el estado de Oaxaca. Cuenta con bellas ruinas construidas por varias culturas antiguas. Una hazaña de la ingeniería al ser construida sobre una plataforma artificial a 1,600 pies de altura. Ésta zona fue habitada en torno al año 500 A.C., siendo posteriormente usado durante siglos, incluso hasta la Conquista Española. Yagul representa una gran mezcla de sitios, que incluyen una bien conservada cancha para un juego de pelota zapoteca, y su palacio principal.

Fortified archaeological zone, located in the state of Oaxaca. It has beautiful ruins built by many ancient cultures. A feat of engineering built on an artificialplatform at 1,600 feet. This area was first inhabited around 500 B.C., continued to be used for centuries, even up to the Spanish conquest. Yagul represents a great mix of sites, including a well-preserved Zapotec ball court, and its main palace.

En ésta gema arqueológica se encuentran los restos de la muralla de la ciudad y algunas de sus puertas, punto de partida para el antiguo festival de la procesión de las Panateneas.

Ancient burial ground to the Athenian elite and one time home of the potters of early Greece. Its streets contain graves dating from the third millennium B.C. until the sixth century A.D., when the Romans used it. In this archaeological gem are the remains of the city walls and some of its gates, starting point for the ancient festival of the Panathenaic procession.

Cada año en la ciudad de Orlando, Florida se lleva a cabo el PGA Merchandise Show donde se presentan todas las marcas de renombre relacionadas con el golf, así como

los productos más novedosos.

Golf Luxury & Destinations, invitados por el Consejo de Promoción Turística de México y la Lic. Maru Saavedra Directora de la ACGCM, estuvimos presentes en el stand de México, regalando revistas a los

asistentes de este show , siendo una grata sorpresa el darnos cuenta que hay mucha gente interesada en visitar nuestro

país para jugar al golf.

Pudimos ver la presencia de grandes leyendas del golf como Greg Norman que estuvo en el escenario principal donde platico sobre el crecimiento del golf en china junto

al ex instructor de Tiger Woods, el reconocido Hank Haney y también con Michael Breed el conductor del programa “The

Golf Fix” de Golf Channel. Otras grandes personalidades como Paula Creamer, Brittany Lincicome, Alexis Thompson, Natalie

Gulbis, Matt Kuchar, David Leadbetter, Annika Sorenstam, Anna Nordqvist, Brian Gay y muchos más, estuvi-

eron dando autógrafos al público asistente.

Una infinidad de productos fueron presentados entre los que destacaron bolas de colores amarillo y naranja que son más

visibles , simuladores con un realismo impresionante que le permite a los golfistas jugar una variedad de campos que sería casi imposible hacerlo en la vida real; En cuanto a tecnología se refiere, pudimos ver muchas aplicaciones para teléfonos celulares y para ipad

ya sea para llevar tu score, medir tus distancias con GPS o hasta sistemas que se ofrecen para campos de

golf, para que desde tu carrito de golf puedas solicitar servicios de alimentos solo oprimiendo un botón en la pantalla

de la iPad.

Dentro del show se contó con un área de prueba de productos, un tee de practica techado

donde las distintas marcas de equipos de golf nos dieron la oportunidad de probar

drivers, hierros, wedges de las mejores marcas como Callaway, Ping, Cobra, TaylorMade entre muchos otros.

También pudimos ver el desfile de modas por parte de Puma, con Alexis Thompson y Anna Nordqvist presentando la nueva línea de productos que están asombrosos.

Próximamente, les iremos presentando en nuestras futuras ediciones los productos más destacados que pudimos ver en este show ya sea que quieras mejorar tu juego, o adquirir un gadget nuevo para tu próxima ronda de golf.

famous brands related to golf are presented.

Golf Luxury & Destinations invited by the Tourism Board of Mexico and Ms. Saavedra Maru ACGCM Director, was present at the stand of Mexico, giving magazines to attendees of this show, being a pleasant surprise to

realize that there are many people interested in visiting our country to play golf.

We could see the presence of great golf legends such as Greg Norman who was on the main stage talking about the growth of golf in China next to the former

instructor of Tiger Woods, the famous Hank Haney and also Michael Breed the host of the “The Golf Fix “Golf Channel. Other major figures such as Paula Creamer,

Brittany Lincicome, Alexis Thompson, Natalie Gulbis, Matt Kuchar, David Leadbetter, Annika Sorenstam,

Anna Nordqvist, Brian Gay and many more, were giving autographs to the audience.

Infinity of new products were presented among theones that standed out such as yellow balls andorange that are more visible, simulators with a

stunning ealism that

allows golfers to play a variety of courses that would be almost impossible in real life; in terms of technology we could see many applications for cell phones and for IPAD whether to take your score, measure your distances with GPS or even systems that are available for golf courses, so that from your golf cart golfers only request for food service pressing a button on the screen of the iPad.

Within the show was available a product testing area, a practice tee with roof where different brands of golf equipment gave us the opportunity to test drivers, irons, wedges from top brands like Callaway, Ping, Cobra, TaylorMade between many others.

We could also see the fashion show by Puma, with Alexis Thompson and Anna Nordqvist launching the new line of products that are amazing.

Soon, we shall be presented in future editions the leading products more distinguish that we saw at this show whether you want to improve your game, or buy a new gadget for your next round of golf.

En el paradisiaco caribe mexicano se llevó a cabo el evento más importante de golf en nuestro país del año, el torneo de PGA Mayakoba Golf Classic en el campo El Camaleón, que como siempre, estuvo en condiciones perfectas.

Previo al el evento se realizó una rueda de prensa donde estuvieron presentes Lorena Ochoa, Greg Norman, el Gobernador del Estado de Quintana Roo Félix González Canto y Juan Miguel Villar Mir Presidente del grupo OHL, quien nos dio la primicia que iniciara en el segundo semestre de este año una nueva etapa del desarrollo de Mayakoba con una inversión superior a los mil millones de dólares el cual tendrá un nuevo campo de golf diseñado por la mancuerna Norman-Ochoa. En esta rueda de prensa nuestro editor Ramón Hernández le pregunto a Lorena Ochoa sobre el interés de traer un evento LPGA al Caribe Mexicano a lo cual ella respondió que sería la primera en apoyar y hacer los esfuerzos necesarios para traer un torneo de las mejores golfistas del mundo, sería un espectáculo ver a Michelle Wie, Suzan Pettersen, Jijay Shin, Paula Creamer sobre el Green de uno de los campos de Cancún o Riviera Maya.

Para dar inicio al evento se llevó a cabo el ProAm destacado por la participación de Lorena Ochoa quien estuvo en el foursome de Juan Miguel Villar Mir así como otros destacados patrocinadores y empresarios del sureste del país.

Como siempre este campo “El Camaleón”, se distinguió por sus excelentes condiciones dignas de cualquier torneo PGA y el staff del torneo dirigidos por Larson Segerdahl, mostraron que en México se pueden llevar este tipo de eventos con el mismo profesionalismo que se lleva en nuestro país vecino del norte.

Se contó con la participación de grandes jugadores como Tom Pernice Jr, Rory Sabbatini, Cameron Beckman, Chad Campbell, John Daly, Tom Lehman, Brian Gay y nuestro paisano Esteban Toledo representando nuestro país entre muchos otros. También contamos con la participación del golfista Jhonattan Vegas que no tuvo suerte de mostrar su mejor nivel durante el torneo pero se destacó por su popularidad entre los asistentes. Vimos la demostración del mejor golf al mayor nivel de PGA hasta el último día donde con un empate de Spencer Levin y Johnson Wagner que volvieron a jugar el hoyo 18 donde finalmente Wagner se llevó el triunfo del torneo llevándose una ganancia de $666,000 dólares con 267 golpes totales sumando 250 puntos a la FedExCup.

En resumen en su quinto año consecutivo Mayakoba Golf Classic nos dio como aficionados, la mejor muestra de este deporte en nuestro país, esperemos que un día no muy lejano contemos con la participación de las grandes figuras del golf en este torneo.

EL PAGANI HUAYRA incorpora aerodinámica activa, siendo capaz de cambiar la altura de la parte delantera del suelo, y sus cuatro alerones ubicados en la parte trasera y delantera. El comportamiento de los alerones es controlado por una unidad de control dedicado que se alimenta de información de sistemas como el ABS y el ECU, los cuales pasan información sobre la velocidad del automóvil, la velocidad de derrape, la aceleración lateral, el ángulo de dirección y la posición del acelerador, ofreciendo mayor control a altas velocidades. Los alerones traseros actúan también como un freno de aire.

A diferencia de varios automóviles modernos, el Pagani Huayra no utiliza una caja de cambios de doble embrague; en cambio utiliza una caja de cambios secuencial de siete velocidades y un embrague de doble disco. Cuenta con un motor de V12 de 6.0L construido por la división deportiva de Mercedez-Benz, AMG, que produce más de 700Hp. Con una velocidad máxima de más de 370 km/h; logra alcanzar los 100 km/h en menos de 3.5 segundos.

El interior denota impecable calidad, atención al detalle y definitiva extravagancia, luciendo igual o más lujoso que un Bentley o incluso un Rolls Royce. La cabina está forrada con cuero de felpa de alta gama expuesta con detalles en aluminio y fibra de carbono. Cuenta además con una pantalla multifuncional que controla el audio, la navegación y un conjunto de gadgets para comunicación.

El Pagani Huayra fue oficialmente presentado mediante un comunicado de prensa en línea el 25 de enero del 2011. Por lo pronto Pagani no ha dado una cifra oficial para el precio de este majestuoso automóvil, pero se estima costará alrededor de $1, 400,000 USD.

The New Italian Supercar

Inspired by the eternity of the element air, Pagani Huayra is named after Aymara Huayra Tata, the Andes god of the wind. Once again Pagani reaffirms its commitment to speed, playing aerodynamics an important role in the development and controversial style of this flamboyant car.


PAGANI HUAYRA incorporates active aerodynamics, being capable of changing the height of the front from the ground, and operates its four flaps placed at the rear and front of the car. The behavior of the flaps is managed by a dedicated control unit that is fed with information from systems such as the ABS and ECU, which pass on information about the car’s speed, yaw rate, lateral acceleration, steering angle and throttle position, offering superior control at high speeds. The rear flaps also act as an airbrake. Unlike many modern supercars, Pagani Huayra does not use a dual-clutch gearbox; instead it uses a seven-speed sequential gearbox and a dual-disc clutch. It has a 6.0 L V12engine built by the sports division Mercedez-Benz, AMG, which produces over 700Hp. With a top speed over 240 mph; it reaches 62 mph in less than 3.5 seconds.

Its interior bears flawless quality, absolute attention to detail and ultimate extravaganza, looking equally or more luxurious than a Bentley or a Rolls Royce. The cabin is filled with high-end plush leather, aluminum and carbon fiber. It also includes a central Multi-Function Display that controls audio, navigation and communications gadgetry.

Pagani Huayra was officially debuted online in a press release on January 25, 2011. At the moment, Pagani has not an official figure for the price of this magnificent supercar, but its cost is estimated around the $1.4 million USD mark.
