The Spirit of the FestivalThe Golden Harvest Festival is a family experience offering fun-filled activities for all

ages. In addition to art and craft vendors the Festival includes: hayrides, free canoe rentals, entertainment, games and plenty of delicious foods. The Festival features

over 90 artists/craftspeople and attracts hundreds visitors each year.

Factors Affecting Exhibitors As few of our sites have shade, all exhibitors should be prepared with tarps or a tent to block the sun. Part of our arts and crafts area will be on pavement. This necessitates that exhibitors bring weights {ie: sandbags} to which a tent or tarp could be attached. Vendors will not be permitted to use tent stakes in the pavement. All exhibitors will be expected to park in the designated exhibitor parking lot during the Festival. If you use your vehicle to store extra inventory and need to access during the day, you may consider bringing a hand truck or cart. All exhibitors’ vehicles must be moved to the parking lot by 9:15am. If you need to leave the grounds during the day, you will be asked to park near the exit.

Spaces and Fees The fee for each 10’x10’ space is $125. All spaces will be assigned. Exhibitors must provide their own setups. No electricity will be available. All booths must stay entirely within the 10’x10’ size limitations. No generators of any kind will be allowed.

Eligibility An impartial jury will evaluate all applicants. Primary criteria used in judging include: Are designs handmade and original? Is medium unusual/uncommon? Do natural materials and themes predominate? Examples of arts/crafts suitable for the Festival include: original painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, sculpture, quilting, weaving, leatherworking, pottery, handmade toys, glass art, jewelry, metalwork and folk art. We strive to have a wide diversity of high quality arts/crafts on display. Agents and dealers are not allowed. In addition, the following items are considered unacceptable for this show: work assembled from kits, ceramics cast from commercial molds, imports, manufactured or kit jewelry and needlepoint or cross-stick made from commercially available designs. We reserve the right to make all final decisions concerning the acceptance or rejection of an applicant’s work and, during the Festival, to ask for the removal of work, which does not fall within our guidelines.

How to Apply • Please submit three clear photos of items

typical of those to be exhibited at the Festival.

• A written description of your original, handcrafted items is required of all applicants.

• Applicants should submit the forms and fees by July 26 to ensure listing in the Festival program.

• In most cases, decisions are made within four weeks of our receipt of each application.

• Checks are made payable to: Friends of Beaver Lake. There will be a $25 service charge on all returned checks.

• If your work is not chosen for this year’s Festival, your check and photos will be returned.

• All cancellations must be made by: Monday, August 26, to receive a refund.

• To ensure you receive our notifications, please add [email protected] to your list of contacts.
