Texas Bullion Exchange, Inc. looks forward to building a long lasting and trusted customer relationship to serve your precious metal goals for years to come. For more information or assistance on your next precious metals purchase, feel free to call us toll-free at (855) 344-2646.

At Texas Bullion Exchange, Inc., every customer is assigned to a single representative, in order to build a relationship based on trust and familiarity with the needs of the client. Our representatives take the time to get to know each of their clients so that they can effectively grow that client’s portfolio in a multitude of ways:

About UsToday’s investing environment is tough. With the economy still on the mend and the value of a dollar low, gold and silver are a more obvious choice than ever for financial security. That’s where Texas Bullion Exchange, Inc. comes in. We’ll go to work to get you the best possible product for the best possible price.

Investment consultants often advise their clients to have a portfolio that is well-protected. In order to do so, your portfolio must include investments that are on the defense while the global market is on the offense. In other words, you do not want all your investments going down at once, right? Many investors underwent the misfortune in 2008-2009, when all the leading asset classes (stocks, bonds and cash for income) fell at once. Those investors needed gold to lift a portion of their net worth higher, while all of their other investments sank in unison. Gold rose during the stock market crash of 2001-2003 and 2007-2009.

Here at Texas Bullion Exchange, Inc. we strive to work with our clients to create a portfolio that will grow by adding valuable bullion and rare coins. The majority of coin and bullion companies seem to be just alike – it seems as though they sell the same coins and bullion, and give everyone the same assurances. Texas Bullion Exchange, Inc. believes we are different because at our core lies the foundation of our beliefs which are:

Adding valuable bullion and rare coins to our client’s portfolio

Diversifying our client’s IRA which includes gold, silver, and other precious metals to stabilize the value of their investment

Ensuring our clients achieve the best prices on their investments, whether they are investing small or large amounts with the flexibility of coins

What is the Best Way to Diversify with Precious Metals?

Coin Grading ScaleThe Sheldon Scale is system of grading which was originally introduced by the late Dr. William H. Sheldon, for the purpose of grading large cents. The system was adapted to all coins in the early 1970’s. The Sheldon Scale, as applied today, incorporates numerical grades 1 through 70 to correspond with various descriptive grades as follows:

Poor – 1 Fair – 2 (AG) Almost Good – 3 (G) Good – 4, 6 (VG) Very Good – 8, 10 (F) Fine – 12, 15 (VF) Very Fine – 20, 25, 30, 35 (EF) Extremely Fine – 40, 45 (AU) Almost Uncirculated – 50, 53, 55, 58 (MS) Mint State – 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 69, 70.

Invest in 1/3 of gold and silver rare and low populated coins in multiple denominations for added flexibility in responding to various demands.

Invest in 1/3 of gold and silver holdings in bullion for bartering and other short and long-term circumstances.

Invest in 1/3 of gold, silver, platinum & palladium holdings in semi-numismatic coins, which may provide the “double play” potential of bullion plus additional demand push from collectors.

Gold is the most recognized form of wealth protection, due to its relative rarity, variety of applications, and use as the standard of economic exchange between countries.

Silver has unique supply and demand drivers because of its many diverse applications as a key industrial metal. These applications limit its availability.

Platinum is the considered the most precious of the precious metals. It is nearly 15 times more scarce than gold and is in strong industrial demand.

Palladium is used in automotive, jewelry, medical, electronic, and aeronautical industries. Palladium is primarily obtained in volatile geopolitical regions, increasing its value.

CONVERTING YOUR EXISTING 401K OR 403B TO A PRECIOUS METALS IRAMoving money from your existing 401k or 403b to a precious metals IRA is done via a rollover. Whether you can roll over your 401k or 403b depends on the terms of your existing plan. We make the transfer or rollover of your existing retirement plan into a precious metals IRA fast, simple, and secure. Another advantage is there is no minimum order to purchase metals to hold in your precious metals IRA so, diversifying your retirement savings into physical precious metals is easier than ever.

THE ADVANTAGES OF HAVING A PRECIOUS METALS IRA

The IRA is the owner of the precious metals, not the IRA holder. Purchase, shipping, and depository costs are paid by the IRA and all gains go back to the IRA.

All legal documents related to an IRA-owned asset must be in the name of the IRA, not your personal name.

The IRS does not allow the IRA holder to possess the physical metals while those assets are in the IRA.

The metals must meet certain standards, as specified by the IRS, to be held in a retirement account.

DIVERSITYDiversification helps to smooth the volatility within investment holdings with the goal being more stable and reliable returns over time. Distribution across three investment sectors is the most profitable in the long term, as each asset class comes with its own financial benefits. Different coin types can serve short, medium, and long-term holding strategies to maximize security.

OPPORTUNITYIn light of the recent crises, precious metals have performed remarkably well. Experts predict continued strength in the years to come. At Texas Bullion Exchange, we help our clients to focus on short, medium, and long term strategies inside of their metals portfolios so that, regardless of what happens, you’re prepared — and more importantly, you’re protected.

SAFETYPrecious metals are the safe haven asset of choice for individuals, institutions, and governments alike. The values that make precious metals a safe investment naturally extend to a Precious Metals IRA, in which physical metals are held in your account. Unlike paper assets, the value of precious metals can never fall to zero, you know that your assets are stored in a fortified bank vault.

CONTROLA self-directed IRA allows you to make every decision about your account assets, allocation and redistribution, while also giving you important tax advantages. When taking a distribution, you can take physical delivery of your metals or to sell and accept cash funds, and the small annual fees on this type of account are often lower than those of other accounts.

Ingots, coins, or other issues that trade for their intrinsic metal value. Precious metals (silver, gold, platinum, and palladium) are included as bullion.

A legal tender coin that trades at a slight premium to its value as plain metal.

A process in which the surfaces of a coin or a planchet are shined through rubbing or polishing. This term has both a positive and a negative context: In a positive sense, Proof planchets are burnished before they are struck. The procedure was done originally by rubbing wet sand across the surfaces to impart a mirror-like finish. In a negative sense, the surfaces on repaired or altered coins may be burnished by mechanical or chemical methods. For example, a high-speed drill with a wire brush attachment is used to achieve this effect.

A proof, or prooflike coin with exceptional contrast between the fields and the devices. On a cameo coin, the fields are mirrorlike, while the devices give a frosty appearance.

Term applied to coins, usually Proofs and prooflike coins that have deeply frosted devices and lettering that contrast with the mirror fields.

A steel rod that is engraved, punched, or hubbed with the date, lettering, devices, and other emblems used to strike a coin.

The numerical or adjectival condition of a coin.

A coin with deep concave fields, due to its design. High relief coins required extra pressure to be fully struck, and were difficult to stack. Therefore, the few coins struck in high relief by the U.S. Mint (such as the 1921 Peace dollar and the 1907 Roman Numeral double eagle) were each made for only one year.

Describes a coin that has never been in circulation. Thus, the coin has no wear. A mint state coin may still be weakly struck, and therefore lack the detail of even a lower grade coin. All mint state coins have some imperfections if you study them hard enough. The term “Mint State” may also correctly be applied to coins that were struck as proofs. Marked as MS

The number of coins of a particular date struck at a given mint during a specific year.

Letter(s) stamped into a coin to denote the mint at which it was struck.

Acronym for Numismatic Guaranty Corporation, located in Parsippany, NJ. Currently the leading coin grading service.

The science of money. Coins, currency, tokens, inscribed bars, and all related items are numismatic.

Professional Coin Grading Service, a leading third-party coin grading service located in Newport Beach, California.

The blank metal disk, which becomes a coin when struck under high pressure between two dies.

The term Proof denotes a method of manufacture, not a grade. Proof coins are made with special care, exclusively for collectors or investors and not struck for general circulation. Generally, proof coins are struck on specially selected and polished planchets. They are struck using polished dies. Usually the coins are made on a slower moving press, and/or are struck more than once. Most proof coins are brilliant, with a mirrorlike surface.

Refers to a coin that has a significant bullion value and some numismatic value.

Current market price at which an asset is bought or sold for immediate payment and delivery.

Gold BullionSince its introduction in 1986, the Gold American Eagle coin has been in high demand every year. Today, the modern Gold Eagles are a whisper of history as they showcase the design that made its first appearance in American coinage in 1907. Because these coins are a perfect addition for any investor or numismatic collector, they are the most popular gold coin from the U.S. Mint. As gold bullion, they always hold value making them easy to sell, buy and trade. The obverse of the Gold Eagle is adapted from Augustus Saint-Gaudens’ famed Gold Double Eagle design of 1907, often regarded as the most beautiful design in American coinage. Gold American Eagles are issued in 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz sizes.

In 2006, the United States Mint introduced its first and only 1 oz .9999 gold coin with the Gold American Buffalo. These coins were instantly a huge success, providing competition for the Canadian Gold Maple Leafs. Since then, the Gold Buffalo has become a widely popular addition to any Gold bullion collection. The Gold Buffalo coin is designed after James Earle Fraser’s famous 1913 Type 1 Buffalo Nickel.

Gold Maple Leaf bullion coins are a great way to invest in gold, and many consider the Maple Leaf to be one of the world’s most beautiful gold coins. Each Maple Leaf gold coin is legal Canadian gold tender guaranteed by the Government of Canada for its weight and purity. At up to .99999-fine pure gold, the Maple Leaf bullion coins are some of the world’s premier gold bullion coins. Since the Gold Canadian Maple Leaf was introduced in 1979, its five sizes, 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, 1/10 oz, and 1/20 oz, have been in high demand.

The Chinese Gold Panda bullion coins are among the most popular gold coins on the market. Issued by the People’s Republic of China since 1982, the Chinese Gold Pandas are .999 fine gold. The Gold Pandas are typically available in 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, 1/10 oz, and 1/20 oz sizes. However, the Gold Chinese Pandas are also available in larger sizes, such as 5 oz, 12 oz, and kilo sizes. Several Chinese mints produce the Chinese Gold Panda bullion coins, including Beijing, Shenzhen, Shanghai, and Shenyang. Unlike many gold bullion coins, the reverse design of the Chinese Gold Panda changes each year.

Introduced by the Royal Mint in 1987, the Gold Britannia coins are British gold bullion coins that have begun to play a major role on the coin market. Gold Britannias are issued in 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz sizes with face values in British pounds (£) of £100, £50, £25, and £10, respectively. Gold Britannias are .917 gold (22-karat gold) and are legal tender in Great Britain. Until 1990, the Gold Britannia was alloyed with copper. However, beginning in 1990, the Gold Britannia has been alloyed with silver, which gives the Gold Britannias issued since 1990 a lighter yellow color than the earlier Britannias. In 2013, the fineness increased to .9999 fine.

The Australian Gold Kangaroo series of bullion coins was introduced in 1987 by Gold Corp., an entity entirely owned by the Western Australian Government. In addition to these typical sizes, the Gold Kangaroos have also been released in larger sizes, including 2 oz, 10 oz, and 32.15 oz (kilo) Gold coins.

First minted in 1989, the Austrian Philharmonic gold bullion coins were the best-selling gold coins in the world in 1992, 1995 and 1996, according to the World Gold Council. The Gold Philharmonic was created as a gold tribute to the renowned Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, one of the world’s most well-known orchestras. The obverse of the Gold Philharmonic coin depicts the Great Organ of the Golden Hall in Vienna’s concert hall, the Musikverein.

One of the most beautiful coins in the world, the Mexican Libertad is .999-fine. The reverse features the Mexican National Seal with the official name for Mexico in Spanish: “Estados Unidos Mexicanos.” The obverse depicts two key symbols of the Mexican people: the Winged Victory statue in the forefront and the Mex-ican volcanoes Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl in the background. The Angel of Independence statue is the main historic monument for the Mexican people and is considered the symbol of Mexico City. The Mexican volcanoes memorialize the legend of the two lovers for whom they were named.

The Silver Eagle coin depicts the Walking Liberty design created by Adolph A. Weinman. Also used on the Walking Liberty Half Dollar coins issued from 1916 to 1947, the Walking Liberty image on the Silver Eagle coin is one of the most cherished and well-known designs ever to grace coins minted by the United States.

The official bullion 1 oz series started in 1990. Many vari-ations exist with extra stamps or seals (‘privies’) issued for special occasions & coin shows. The mirrored proof design of one year (issued from 1990 to 2005) became the model for the frosted uncirculated, or “specimen”, of the next. Gold plated “specimens” have been mint issued since 2004.

Following the success of the Gold Britannia bullion coins introduced in 1987, the Royal Mint produced a one-ounce Silver Britannia coin in 1997, with the 1997 Sil-ver Britannias being issued only as proofs with a mintage of 20,000. Silver Britan-nia coins have a face value of two pounds (£2). These smaller denomination coins circulated widely throughout the United States. Minted for a brief 13 years, the $2.50 Indian is one of the shortest-lived series in U.S. numismatics, making it an appealing investment and collector’s item. Com-bining their age, historical value and limited production make these coins a de-sirable addition to any investment portfolio or numismatic collection. With their sunken-relief design, these coins are a sure way to add instant value to any collec-tion or investment portfolio. These coins were commonly used as currency before President Franklin Roosevelt required Americans to turn in their Gold coins to be melted into bars to help combat the Great Depression. The recall of Gold made these coins a rare find.

These smaller denomination coins circulated widely throughout the United States. Additionally, the unique beauty, complex design and high demand distinguish the Indian Head Half Eagle from other gold coins. These coins have proved themselves to be resilient through time and are now pieces of American history. These coins were minted and distributed as currency before President Franklin Roosevelt re-quired Americans to turn in their Gold coins to be melted into bars to help combat the Great Depression. The recall of Gold made these coins that were previously very common, a rare find. Combining the age, historical value and the uniqueness of the sunken-relief design, these coins are a sure way to add value to any collec-tion or investment portfolio.

Ever since their first minting, the denomination and convenient size of the $10 Gold Eagle coins made them an instant success and one of the country’s most cir-culated coins. With their historical significance, many consider these coins to have a higher value than most modern 1/2 oz Gold coins. The $10 Indian Head Gold Eagle is considered one of the most stunning U.S. coins ever made. $10 Indian Ea-gles are some of the Pre-1933 U.S. Gold that are some of the most desirable coins to collectors and investors. These coins were minted and distributed as currency before President Franklin Roosevelt required Americans to turn in their Gold coins to be melted into bars to help combat the Great Depression. Beginning in 1838, the denomination and convenient size of the $10 Liberty Gold coin made it an instant success and one of the country’s most circulated coins. Additionally, the eagle portrayed on the reverse is considered one of the most fascinating eagle designs on any U.S. coin. Because of their historical significance, these coins are valued higher than most modern 1/2 oz Gold coins. These coins are all from before President Franklin Roosevelt required Americans to turn in their Gold coins to be melted into bars to help combat the Great Depression. This recall made these coins that were previously common currency, a rare find. Because of this, the $10 Liberty Eagles are some of the Pre-1933 U.S. Gold that are some of the most desirable coins to collectors and investors.

The California Gold Rush of 1848 prompted Congress to authorize the mintage of the $20 Double Eagle Gold coin. The authorization happened in 1849 when a few patterns were made and the coin entered circulation as American currency in 1850. It holds the highest Gold content of any regular issue U.S. Gold coin of its time and the original Liberty design was minted for more than 50 years. The mot-to “IN GOD WE TRUST” was added to the coins in accordance with a provision in the Mint Act of 1865. Liberty Gold Eagle Coins in this category vary in quality so browse our selection and choose the coin you would like to add to your holdings. These, like all other Pre-1933 U.S. Gold, have a historical value that goes beyond the face value and the value of the Gold content in these coins.

Liberty $20 Double Eagles

Often considered the most beautifully designed coin the U.S. Mint has ever re-leased, the Saint Gaudens Double Eagle appeals to both collectors and investors. These coins were the circulating Gold Double Eagles at the time until, during the height of the Great Depression in 1933, President Franklin Roosevelt prohibited American citizens from holding monetary Gold. He ordered all Gold coins be re-turned to the U.S. Treasury, where millions were melted into Gold and then cast into Gold bars. This iconic design has created for itself a special place in the hearts of Americans as a piece of history that you can hold in your hand. The coins issued from 1907-1908 do not include the motto “IN GOD WE TRUST” while the coins released from 1908-1933 display the addition of the motto. Also, in 1912 the number of starts surrounding Lady Liberty on the obverse changed from 46 to 48 in reflection of New Mexico and Arizona becoming states.

The Morgan Silver Dollar is one of the most famous and most highly collected U.S. coins of all time. These large Silver coins are known for their value, quality of strike, design, and beauty. Although is it probably the most common of all 19th-century U.S. coins, Morgan Silver Dollars hold vast historical significance, being a major part of America’s early development westward. There are many numerous varieties and overdates, which makes collecting Morgan Silver Dollars a real challenge.

Morgan Silver Dollars

The silver Trade Dollar was minted in response to other nations’ large silver coins that freely circulated in the Far East. Often, these coins were counterstamped with small Chinese characters, called “chopmarks.” These chopmarks meant that a merchant had accepted the coin at its silver value and often attested to the coins fineness. It was designed by William Barber and, in 1887, all reserves of Trade Dollars were redeemed by the US Government.

Investment RisksAll investments involve risk - coins and bullion are no exception. The value of a bullion coin (e.g., American Eagles or Canadian Maple Leafs) is affected by many economic factors, including the current market price of bullion the perceived scarcity of the coins and other factors. Some of these factors include the quality and current demand and general market sentiment. Therefore, because both bullion and coins can go down as well as up in value, investing in them may not be suitable for everyone. Since all investments, including bullion and coins, can decline in value, you should understand them well, and have adequate cash reserves and disposable income before considering a bullion or coin investment.Texas Bullion Exchange is not required to report our sales transactions to the IRS or any other federal, state or local agencies unless you fall under the Form 8300 requirement.

No broker/client or fiduciary relationship exists between TBE and its customers, and TBE does not warrant that the precious metals it sells are fit for any particular purpose. TBE may, and usually does, make a profit on the precious metals it sells to customers. TBE’s account representatives are commissioned salespersons, i.e., their salary is based, at least in part, on the amount and profit margin of the precious metals they sell. Semi-numismatic and numismatic precious metals almost always carry a higher profit margin than bullion. The statements made in this brochure are opinions, not facts, and past performance is no indication of future performance or returns. Precious metals, like all investments, carry capital risk. Precious metals may appreciate, depreciate, or stay the same depending on a variety of factors. TBE cannot guarantee, and makes no representation, that any precious metals will appreciate at all or appreciate sufficiently to make customers a profit. The decision to purchase or sell precious metals, and which precious metals to purchase or sell, are the customer’s decision alone, and purchases and sales should be made subject to the customer’s own research, prudence, and judgment. In TBE’s opinion, (i) precious metals should be considered a long-term investment (i.e., 3 to 5 years or more), and (ii) customers should not invest more than twenty percent (20%) of their available investment funds in precious metals. However, a customer’s individual circumstances may warrant a different approach. Precious metals do not yield income and thus are not an appropriate investment vehicle for investors seeking current or future income. TBE does not provide tax, investment, or legal advice or advisory services, and no one associated with TBE is authorized to provide any such advice or services. TBE makes no representations regarding the tax consequences of holding precious metals as an investment in an IRA or other retirement account. Customers considering whether to include precious metals in an IRA or other retirement account should seek independent tax advice from a qualified professional regarding the tax consequences of such an investment.
