SakyamunisawpeopleinourtimehavingmoreafHictions,worries,andwanderingthougbts.Ourdeep-seatedbadhabitshavingbecomeevenmoreentrenchedoverthousandsoflifbtimeswouldmake

liberatingourselvessolelybyourowneffbrtsalmostimpossible.Heknewtbattoendone,sproblemsandattainlastinghappinessmanypeoplewouldneedtbehelpofanotherBuddha:Amitabha,theBuddhaofInfiniteLightandInfiniteLifb·

AlmostalloftheteachingsbySakyamuniweretheresultofhisbeingaskedaquestion.Inadeparturefromthenorm,andknowingWhenthetimewasright,SakyamuniinitiatedtheteachingthatintroducedAmitabhaandhispurelandThisspontaneousteachingbySakyamuniiswbatmakesthisteachingsospecial.

AmitabhaBuddba·HeisnowspeakingtheDharmainhispurelandandhelpingallWhoaretrulysincereintheirvowstobereborntbere.

VVitbhelpfromAmitabha,wedonothavetorelysolelyonourselvestoattainenlightenmentaswewouldwitbothermetbods.InPureLandBuddbism,
