National Youth Orchestra

The National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain is an orchestra for teenage musicians from all walks of life, united by their shared love of classical music. For almost 70 years it has recruited the very best young orchestral musicians in Great Britain and formed them into an orchestra that performs some of the most challenging and complex repertoires in classical music. The experience gives them the opportunity to achieve their potential at the highest level, while also developing leadership, teamwork and communication skills for life. The Pure Land Foundation supports the Orchestra’s NYO Inspireprogramme. Inspire targets talented young musicians who have not had the opportunity to experience and participate in orchestral music-making, and helps them develop their skills by working with the National Youth Orchestra’s teenage musicians.
