Th ere’s a lot of ‘hands on’ at G.Loomis. Machines don’t cut graphite patterns or wrap guides or ferrule blanks... factory technicians do. Our customers get world class customer-service from our people, not telephones or computers. New products and new, more dynamic materials are the result of engineers that spend hours researching and testing them so we can make them available to all anglers.

It’s all about our people and their passion for making the fi nest, high performance fi shing rods on the planet. G.Loomis Materials

NRX – (Silica nano resin) NRX uses extremely high modulus carbon combined with the most advanced Silica Nano Matrix technology available. For the record, all rod blanks use resin. It’s the ‘glue’ that bonds the carbon fi bres together. Th e secret to NRX is the nano silica particles in the resin. Th ey are so minute they infi ltrate all the gaps in the carbon fi bre providing much more surface area for the resin to adhere to, dramatically increasing overall strength. What this means to the angler is a rod that is far stronger, far lighter and more sensitive, a revelation in the world of graphite fi shing rods, no matter what type of fi shing you choose.

GLX Next to NRX this is our highest performing graphite system. Its high modulus, high tensile strength provides an extremely light yet sensitive rod blank that delivers amazing performance across the entire range. GLX has been the very backbone of our product range for many years and maintains a dominant position as a favourite with anglers in the know.

MaterialsG Loomis has always been at the forefront of rod building technology and the GLX carbon found in most of our rods has proved to be an outstanding performer. However the latest developments are now to be found in the resin that ‘glues’ the carbon fi bres together and the most advanced is ‘silica nano’ particles.

G Loomis was one of the fi rst rod building companies in the world to utilise this development and it can be found in all NRX rods. Whilst some manufactures are using the word ‘nano’ in their rod descriptions, the use of silica nano (which is by far the best) is actually limited to only a handful of rod producers.

Whilst we have no doubt that our rods are made to the highest standards and are protected by our G Loomis warranty, transporting your rod in the tube provided will protect it against damaging knocks and accidents which can weaken the integrity of the rod blank.

ShoreStalkerTh e ShoreStalker series is a special range of predator rods that were designed for targeting fi sh that hide away in thick undergrowth where they generally burst out from cover to ambush their prey. Whilst originally designed for predator species such as pike, these rods are an eff ective tool for all forms of shallow, warm saltwater species. Th ese rods are meant for stalking the shoreline, rocky points and overhanging mangroves. In essence the sort of areas where a short accurate cast is far more critical than distance. Th e rods will load with minimal line and have enough power and accuracy to punch lures and streamers into a small opening at 20 yards.

GL3 Casting & SpinningFollowing a number of years extensive testing and development, we have substantially improved the IM6 formulation of the graphite in the GL3 Series. Th is higher tensile strength version, with a high impact resin system, has provided a powerful, extremely sensitive yet lightweight rod ideal for both spinning and lure fi shing for Salmon.
