OVERVIEW

INTRODUCTION

1. First launching in our London HQ in 2013, Glocomms now operates across Europe, North

America and Asia Pacific.

2. Glocomms operates under our parent company, Phaidon International; a market leading, global

recruitment business that was recently subject to a significant investment in 2016.

3. Glocomms provides specialist Permanent and Contract solutions to a multitude of clients, with

a particular focus on high level, niche technical skill-sets.

4. Glocomms are currently present in the UK, Switzerland, USA, Hong Kong and Singapore. The

Netherlands and Germany are opening in 2017.

Glocomms, part of the Phaidon International group, exists to provide experienced Technology

Consultants & project Services to our clients on a global scale. Each team within Glocomms focuses on a

specialist area of Connective Technology and within each team every consultant has a micro-specialist

area of expertise.

WHY WORK WITH GLOCOMMS?

1. Glocomms has dedicated Consultants assigned to specific technical markets. For example, in

Europe we have 11 consultants devoted to Big Data Architects & Developers. This niche focus

allows us to be faster and more accurate than our competition.

2. Multiple coverage in similar markets. You can use the Glocomms team for Permanent and

Contract requests.

3. We have a full time back-office for Payroll and Compliance based in London. We have recently

implemented an automated online timesheets approval process for both our clients and

candidates called InTime.

4. We have full access to the resources of Phaidon International; including job boards, the

marketing and back office team, and the reputation of the multinational group. This allows us to

utilise the benefits from being both a specialist boutique and an international market leader.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATION

We aim to save our clients time during the recruitment process, by only working with top candidates.

We undertake the following steps before sending you a candidate:

1. Obtain CV and validate experience and any gaps in the CV.

2. The vast majority of candidates that we work with are direct referrals from other tried and

tested sources. Good people know good people.

3. Where possible we interview the candidate face to face to better understand the candidate,

their motivations and their technical suitability for our projects.

4. Undertake competency based questions to understand their experience and reason for

leaving/availability, what they are looking for, previous project details, rates and expectations.

5. We undertake the relevant verification of documents – copies of passport, limited company

details, certification of incorporation etc. This ensures that a compliant solution is possible

before the candidate is submitted to the client.

6. Take a copy of their active certifications, where possible.

7. We also take technical references and when going through the offer management stage we

look to attain copies of business references.

COMPLIANT SOLUTIONS

Glocomms will only operate in markets that we have a fully approved payroll solution by

Phaidon International’s experienced Compliance Director, Gail Brown.

We understand the importance of taking local legislation and regulations into account when

placing in multiple countries around the world.

All Glocomms’ candidates will have the correct permit and insurances in the country in which

they are working. We engage with in-country partners for the vast majority of our Contractor

Pay roll for Employed or Self-Employed Solutions.

As of 2015, we are able to payroll candidates ourselves in Switzerland through our office in

Zurich.

SUMMARY
