    Withinminutes,youcanconnecttoyourmobilenetworkanduseawirelessconnectiontotheInternetthroughthemobilenetwork.GlobeSurferIIiscompatiblewithGSMand3GmobilenetworksandsupportsGPRS,EDGE,UMTSandHSDPAtechnologies.Tip:Toachievethebestpossiblereception,checkthesignalstrengthonthedisplayoftheunit(themorebarsthebetterthereception).Youmayfindthatplacingtheunitnearawindowprovidesthebestreception.

    Simple set-up

    GlobeSurferIIprovidesyouwithaquickinstallationandset-upthatgetsyoueasilyandquicklyconnectedtotheInternet.YoucanuseanInternetbrowser(e.g.InternetExplorer6.0orFirefox1.5)andmostpersonalcomputers,includingWindows,MacintoshandLinux.TheQuickSetupWizardintroducesyoutothebasicsettingsthatneedtobeconfiguredforusewiththemobilenetwork.Onceyouhaveconfigured,youcanreviewandenablecustomisedwirelesssecuritysettings.

    YourGlobeSurferIIsupportsNetworkAddressTranslation(NAT).Thisnetworkservicehidesthecomputersinyournetworksotheycannotbefoundordirectlyaccessedfromoutsideyournetwork.Afirewallisalsoincludedwhich,bydefault,blocksincomingtrafficandallowsoutgoingtraffic.
