    As a result o a single oil shipping accident - the Exxon Valdez

    oil spill in Alaskas Prince William Sound - more than 500,000

    migratory birds were killed, about a thousand times the

    estimated annual total in Caliornias wind power plants. A

    study at a coal-fred power plant in Florida, which had oursmokestacks, recorded an estimated 3,000 bird deaths in a
