Green House Effect

Greenhouse Effect is a natural process that the earth and the atmosphere do to maintain the temperature balanced for development of life and water cycle. It’s the atmosphere’s job to trap the heat of the sun and send it back to the earth, to warm her up, and for this chemical reactions are responsible the Greenhouse Gases (GHG).

Our entire planet and its atmosphere make up a “greenhouse”. Without this warmth, the average temperature on earth would be below zero. Greenhouse Effect IS a cause of Global Warming, but NOT naturally, because the real cause lies on us. In the last decades Industrial Revolution and other human activities like farming have massively increased the amount of Greenhouse Gases in the air (like Carbon Dioxide), which has produced “ too much Greenhouse Effect “. This means, the more Greenhouse Gases, the more Greenhouse effect, and the more Greenhouse Effect, the more heat. Climate Change is like a chain reaction : Too much heat is being send back to the earth and the oceans and lands are drying out , animals and species are dying, natural disasters are happening and the climate is changing. The more the oceans warm up, the more water vapor is released , and since water vapor is a Greenhouse Gas , Greenhouse effect is increasing , and so does the temperature. Industries and transports, like trains and cars are continually emitting GHG, day and night, in the whole world and in all the 194 countries we know. Some of the GHG are: Carbon Dioxide (CO2) , Nitrous Oxide , Methane , Ozone , Water vapor and CFC’s, and in order to stop climate change , we should STOP GHG emissions.

Ever stop and wonder where that plastic bottle you threw away went? Or what effect does your t in can hairspray have on our planet? Everything has an effect, and the way we pollute is now exception. In this article, I shall give you a l i t t le sneak peek at what is going on around us. Deforestation, and rise of sea level are both effects global warming is having on our beloved Earth.

Deforestation, what does that word bring to mind? It means the cutt ing away of forests, or maybe huge land fires that spread across for miles and miles. It also affects rainforests, in certain parts of the globe; this problem expands more and more. Due to cl imate change, there is not enough rainfall in rainforests, now let’s all remember that rain is the main source of l i fe for these tropical paradises. Without it, or without enough of i t , i t is only a matter of t ime for the l i fe in it to die. Not only is the decrease in rain, but also the cutting down of trees is the problem. Once these plants are gone, the land they used to be in wil l turn into plain, dry savannahs, where you can’t even harvest anything.

Rise of sea level, It may sound harmless: ‘oh c’mon a l i t t le more water to the ocean won’t do bad!’ but actually, this one is rather dangerous and well, Sad! What causes this? The ice over in Antarctica is melting, therefore more (as in MORE) water to our ocean, this may cause those beautiful tropical islands in the pacif ic to disappear. It may also cause floods, which is rather dangerous for us, in Pto. La Cruz, considering we l ive l i terally r ight by the ocean. I personally hope you took a peek at what we are doing to our planet by reading this. We need to stop before it ’s too late!

Future Predictions

Scientists have a lot of predictions for the future about global warming. For example sea level r ising, storms, and sea acidity. This involves all the pollutions in the world.

They predict that the ice sheets are going to melt. That wil l be the main reason for sea level change. Since 1870 sea level has risen 8 inches. They predict that many islands wil l drown and lands wil l move faster. In 2100 they predict that the sea level wil l r ise 2 foots. Sea level r ising is one of the main predictions of the scientist. There is a huge probabil i ty that many islands wil l disappear. Another prediction is storms. Scientist have investigated that there have passed a lot of storms through the past few years. They say that every t ime it gets worse. They predict that due to the cl imate change caused by global warming storms are going to get worse if cl imate change keeps happening.

Another prediction is sea acidity. This means that the sea wil l get too acid and can get sort of dangerous. What happens is that atmosphere is made up of carbon dioxide and as the atmosphere disintegrates it fal ls in the ocean and that makes the ocean acid. This involves global warming because the atmosphere disintegrates because of the all the pollution causing global warming.
