Principal Awards: The following students received Principal Awards at the last assembly: Indy, Jordan and Matthew in Room 1, Emily, Lilly and Van in Room 2, Ella, Millie-Ana and Dezijah in Room 3, Angel, Greer and Manawa in Room 6, Finn and Sienna in Room 7, Fletcher and Caleb in Room 8, Carter and Sophie in Room 9, Thalia and Leah in Room 10, Hugh and Solomon in Room 11 and Ruby and Lincoln in Room 12. Well done. KAPA HAKA COMPETITION: The Kapa Haka Competition is being held at Kensington Stadium on Saturday, 17 th November. Athletics Day, Tuesday, 20 th November: Full details of how the day will run are included in this newsletter. We are looking for helpers to assist teachers with the recording of results etc. If you can help please email [email protected] or contact the school office. Athletics Day Sausage Sizzle Tuesday, 20 th November: The PTA will be having a sausage sizzle/ice blocks on Athletics Day. A pre-order form is attached to this Newsletter for students. Please return the form and money to their teacher by Friday, 16 th November (tomorrow). Additional sausages and ice blocks will be available on the day for supporters. Glenbervie School Forest Fun Run & Walk: What a fantastic day it was for the 25th Anniversary of this event. We had 436 entries. The courses were well set and clearly marked, thanks to Oliver Tattersfield. Big thanks to Jane Atkinson, who spent many hours organising the day, the PTA team and school staff. We would also like to acknowledge all the sponsors, (these are listed at the back of the Newsletter), please support them!. We thank the sponsors for their continuing support of Glenbervie School. 2019 Class Lists have carefully been compiled with much deliberation. Teachers have considered your child’s academic needs, social maturity, behavioural factors, student relationships and class dynamics before committing to the make-up of each class. A lot of thought and effort has gone into these decisions to place your child effectively where their needs will be met. We are fortunate to have fantastic teachers with different strengths and abilities who will share best teaching practise with our students. We are looking forward to an exciting 2019. The children will find out their class details on Wednesday, 12 th December. LOST PROPERTY Clothing worth $100’s is going to be donated to charity. Can parents please: 1.
