End of 2016.......almost there! It is amazing to think that our students only have eight more school days until the end of the year. I can't believehow much these students have grown and matured since the beginning of the year. Throughout the week I try tovisit as many classes as possible and I am constantly amazed by the confidence and capability shown by all ourstudents. Our Kindergarten students are writing beautifully structured narratives, Stage One Art and Craft Groupshave been a huge success, Stage Two students recently participated in a videoconference with Broken Hill PS as part oftheir work in Geography and our Stage Three students have done an incredible job preparing for this Friday'sBusiness Showcase. It is very rewarding to see students working collaboratively and continuously striving to achieve their potential. OnMonday 12 December I would like you all to join us in celebrating our students' achievements at our Presentation DayAssemblies. Our K-2 Assembly begins at 9.30am with our 3-6 Assembly starting at 1.00pm.On Tuesday 13 December all students will enjoy the Annual School Picnic, with lots of rides and fun activities.Congratulations to Year 5 for being the first grade to return all permission notes - they win an extra 15 minutes onthe rides! Our Year 6 Farewell will once again be held at North Ryde RSL on Thursday 15 December from 6.15pm - 9.00pm.Finally, one of the real highlights of the year, our Annual Talent Quest, will be held in the School Hall on Friday 16December from 9.15am onwards.I would like to take this opportunity to wish all families a wonderful holiday and a happy New Year. I have reallyappreciated your support, involvement and encouragement this year. Best wishes to our students heading to HighSchool in 2017 - I am confident that you will continue to excel and make a significant contribution to your newschool.David Roberts - Relieving Principal.

Staff CarparkJust a quick reminder that the Staff Carpark is solely for the use of staff. Parents are strongly urged toavoid using these areas to drop off or collect their children. Many staff arrive at school very early or leavelate in the evening and this area has the potential for accidents to occur.

State Fencing ChampionIt is always great to hear about our students excelling in areas outside of school. This week I was delighted to hear that one of our students, Chris Y (1F) has recently been crowned as a State Champion in the sport of Fencing. Congratulations, Chris, on a wonderful achievement!
