Who’s Your Buddy? At Kamibashi, 2016 is the “Year of the Dog,” and we couldn’t be more excited to dedicate these 366 days (plus many more years!) to mankind’s best friend. Our own dog, a super-cute 9-year-old Shih Tzu named Pupperoo, is with us nearly 24 hours a day, emana-ting love and joy for nearly all of them. She is so darn irresistible, in fact, that our office manager Carney got her very own Shih Tzu puppy named Klaus in November of 2015! Klaus, who has come to work each day since his arrival, is a little black mop of happiness whose very existence is something that Pupperoo is still getting used to. We’re fairly cer-tain that once Klaus graduates from puppydom, and stops chasing her around, she will see the sweet guy that we humans all instantly fell in love with. Luckily for us, Pupperoo has never been a chewer, and she pays no attention to the many string dolls that are always within range of her very short body. Klaus is also living very harmoniously with the string dolls so far, and has yet to show any interest

in chewing on them (knock on wood!).

For this and many reasons, we feel like

lucky dogs for having these two in our lives!

Dogs aren’t only big LOVE, they are also big BUSINESS! Buddy, the string

doll dog, who is not a par-ticular breed, has been one of the top 15 selling string dolls since 2011, the year he debuted. In 2015, we sold a total of 1,622 Buddy dolls! This fact alone made us real-ize that there should be

more dogs in the String Doll Gang.

The eight dog breeds debuting this year will not be the last, and we apologize in

advance for all of the customers who will ask you if the breed of their dog is available or not. Please do let us know which dog breeds your customers are asking you for, and tell them to check back with you in a few months to see if their dog is part of our newest litter of puppies. We will do our best to make each and every last one, and there’s a very good chance we’ll add some cats too!
