is to create welcoming communities of free

support for everyone living with cancer — men, women, teens

and children — along with their families and

friends.

Our innovative programs are an essential

complement to medical care, providing

individual counseling, support groups,

The 2016 Red Door Honorees

Kevin Marcus is President, Chief Operating Officer and member of the Board of

Directors of Ipreo Holdings, a privately owned financial technology company

headquartered in NY. Prior to Ipreo, Kevin was president of a business unit of the

Thomson Corporation, having arrived at Thomson through its acquisition of The

Carson Group, where he was a partner. He spends much of his “free” time

volunteering as a coach and Board Member of the Somers Youth Sports Organization. Kevin graduated from Cornell University with a History degree. Elana Marcus is a stay-at-home mother of four. Prior to being a mom, Elana

worked at The Guild Group where she was an account executive. Elana graduated from Pace University with a BA in business. Kevin and Elana are proud parents of Brian, Derek, William and Amelia.

Lisa Shpilberg The 2016 Barbara Bennett-Rones Volunteer of the

Year Award

Lisa and her husband, Sam, live in White Plains with their three children Gabriel,

Nathan and Mena. Lisa, a professional organizer and owner of “Method to the

Madness,” has been volunteering for Gilda’s Club Westchester in various

capacities for more than seven years. Each year, Gilda’s can count on Lisa to

donate her time and serve as special events photographer for the annual Golf and

Tennis Fundraisers, Mah Jongg Fundraisers, and more! Lisa has also served on

various committees including past Gala Committees, Auction committees and has

generously donated her professional organizing services in order to help generate

awareness and funding for the organization.

Lisa believes deeply in the importance of having a place where anyone can go to

be surrounded by like-minded people who understand what you are going through.

The free-of-charge emotional and social support of Gilda’s Club has been the

reason why Lisa was drawn to volunteering with Gilda's.

Barbara Bennett-Rones*

Founding Patron and Board Member

It is with gratitude, humility and deepest respect that we once again honor the

memory of our beloved Board Member and Founding Patron, Barbara Bennett-

Rones.

Daughter, sister, wife, mother, friend, one to emulate, Barbara was all of these and

so much more. She touched the lives of so many with her love, wisdom and

compassion. Her contagious smile, her sound judgment and her fair-mindedness

all served her well in her chosen field, guidance.

While raising her family, volunteerism and commitment to public service were

always important aspects of Barbara’s life. She wore several hats on the

Mamaroneck Board of Education, and eventually became its President from 1998-

2000. She was the recipient of the Sunny Award, given by the LMC-TV, which

honors an outstanding individual within the community who makes a difference in

other’s lives.

Perhaps closest to her heart, was Barbara's involvement with Gilda's Club

Westchester. She truly understood the importance of the psychological and social

support that Gilda's Club provides. She was determined to attract participation

from those she knew, and her effort had tremendous impact on the Club's

development. Her spirit continues to be felt in the success of Gilda's Club

Westchester through her children. Both Jody and Stacy, and their friends, have

helped organize an annual comedy fundraiser and remain dedicated to raising

awareness about Gilda’s Club Westchester. Barbara's greatest legacy is the way

she lived life to the fullest. Barbara inspires the best in all of us, and we remember

her with much admiration, lasting appreciation, and enduring love.

We thank and honor Athleta as the official Gilda’s Stair Climb Presenting Sponsor

for the last three years, and as an ongoing supporter of both the Gilda’s Club

Westchester Tennis Invitational and the Gilda’s Soul Ride. Athleta continuously

donates their time and products to Gilda’s Club events without hesitation and with

great enthusiasm. For these reasons and for Athleta’s unwavering support, Gilda’s

Club Westchester is so appreciative.

Rachel Feinstein

Rachel Feinstein is a nationally touring comedian and actress who is best known

for her ability to morph into various ethnicities and genders. Huffington Post called

her "the only comedian we've seen who can go from embodying her grandmother

in one breath and a predatory guy on the street in the next and be equally

convincing at both." Feinstein’s third Comedy Central special, “Amy Schumer

Presents: Rachel Feinstein – Only Whores Wear Purple”, has just premiered, and

she has recently shot her own Comedy Central pilot. Recent guest appearances

include Comedy Central's THE NIGHTLY SHOW WITH LARRY WILMORE, HBO's

LAST WEEK TONIGHT WITH JOHN OLIVER, co-hosting THE VIEW on multiple

occasions and several appearances on INSIDE AMY SCHUMER. You may also

remember Rachel co-hosting alongside Shaq on UPLOAD WITH SHAQUILLE

ONEAL. Feinstein has lent her voice to Adult Swim's VENTURE BROTHERS and

the phenomenally successful GRAND THEFT AUTO video game franchise. Most

recently, Rachel can be seen in a major recurring role on the Steven Soderbergh

AMAZON series, RED OAKS, and is set to appear in Judd Apatow's new pilot for

HBO, CRASHING.

Jenna Wolfe

Jenna Wolfe is a certified personal trainer, health and wellness expert,

motivational speaker and (most challenging of all), mom to 2 little girls, Harper and

Quinn. Most recently, she was the first ever lifestyle and fitness correspondent on

NBC’s Today show. She just wrote her first book, Thinner in 30, outlining a 30-day

diet and fitness plan in her charismatic voice. Prior to joining NBC News in 2007,

the self-proclaimed daredevil and thrill seeker spent 12 years as a sportscaster.

When she’s not running (and squatting and lunging and bear-crawling) a million

miles an hour in one direction, she’s usually (and happily) doing it in another.

Jenna lives in New York City with her partner, Stephanie Gosk.
