Ghost Investigation Ground Rules

 There will be 3 or 4 groups with 3-5 people in them.

Each group will have a lead investigator, who will be in charge of handling anddistributing equipment.

 These lead investigators will be Jeff Porter, Jake Gorman, and Michael Ferris (a forth

group leader will be decided at site if needed)

 The equipment we are using consists of :

o Digital voice recorder : This is used to record audio, can be replayed to identify

EVPs

o Cam-corder : Each group will have one.

o Digital Thermometer : Used to record the temperature of the surrounding area,paranormal entities tend to cause colder readings than the rest of the room.

o EMP Detector : Used to detect disturbances in the electromagnetic field

surrounding your group.

o EM Pump : The Em Pump creates a low level magnetic field. A magnetic white

noise if you will. Entities can use this to draw energy.

 The entire group will meet and decide where the individual groups are going to

investigate. Each group will have a 5 minute window to reach their location and set

up. When this time frame expires each group will be expected to abide by the rules

of conduct listed below.

o No running, stomping, or loud noises that may cause interference with

another group’s findings.

o No pentagrams, symbols, verbal or written demonic references.

o No touching or disturbing any historical artifacts.

o No consumption of alcoholic beverages**

o While investigating if your site has little activity and you wish to move to

another location, do so as quietly as possible.

o For those who are skeptical of paranormal activity, please be respectful

toward those who are trying to get actual readings.

o Remember that any noise made could affect another groups audio.

o Please practice discipline with using lights in your group. You will get the best

results in the dark.

 There are several things that can indicate the presence of a paranormal entity.

Drop in temperature

Change in emotions

Feeling ill

Goosebumps and/or hair standing on end

Loss of power with equipment or non-responsive equipment

 The more obvious signs are; moving objects, physical manifestations, or voices.

And in extreme cases there can be physical contact, or possession***

EVP’s: are speech or speech-like sounds, which are inaudible during recording but

detected on electronic recording media upon playback. They are typically brief,

usually the length of a word or short phrase and are sometimes claimed to be in

direct response to the questions

Electromagnetic Field: is a physical field produced by electrically charged objects.

It affects the behavior of charged objects in the vicinity of the field
