I would like to thank my mom for inspiring me to write. I would also like

Next, would like to thank my family and friends for helping my get

through the year. Last I would like to give a big thanks to: Ty Bohannan,

Alex Pemberton, Tanner Hawthorn, Jack Eaton, Aaron Scott, Brett

Mccoy, Remington Cozad, Alfredo Benavidez, and Jaden Chambers. I

couldn’t have done it without you.

Life- Unit 1 This section is about life or real life experiences. Some are fun and some

are serious. Most are made up but some can still happen. Life is a very

serious thing, you can make it fun but you never need to take it for

granted. This section includes 5 stories.

Bill and Jill Their once was a guy named Bill.

Bill lived on a hill, and worked at the mill.

Then he met a girl named Jill.

Bill would kill for Jill at will.

Well Jill met a guy named Phil.

He also lived on a hill.

Jill couldn’t choose between Bill and Phil.

Bill didn’t know Jill was seeing Phil.

Phil didn’t know Jill was seeing Bill.

Rules Some of the rules that you are supposed to follow are, respect you elders,

mind your manners, and don’t lie. To respect your elders means to do

what your parents or teachers says without arguing. Minding your

manners means don’t eat like pig or talk like a sailor. Don’t lie, even if

you are going to get in trouble tell the truth. The consequences will be

much worse if you don’t. If we didn’t have these rules the world would be

a mess. Kids would run free and have no manners.

Growing Up Growing up is a scary thing. Most kids say they can’t wait to grow up. The

older you get the more decisions you have to make. I think when you’re

18 fresh out of high school is the scariest time of your life. You have to

start making your own decisions and you’re out on your own. You’re kind

of scared of the world and what’s out there. Some are different though,

they want to explore new things. “Life’s like a box of chocolates you never

know what you’re going to get”-Forest Gump.

Symbolism I would symbolize strength. If supper man needs me to lift a car off

someone, I will be there. If the Karate Kid is in need of me, I will be

there. If Aaron is stuck in a hole and needs me to get him out, I will be

there. If anyone ever needs me to help them up after the have been

pushed down, I will be there.

Page 10: Getting lost in the life of sports

10

Skills I am skilled at X-box. Some tips that help me were,

Learn the controls

Practice against computer people

Play the campaign

Play online

Just learn the game

Try new things

Sports Unit-2 This section shows off my sports side of my life. I’m a fan of basketball,

football, and baseball. To some of you this may bore you. This is only a

section of my life. This unit also has five pieces of work in it.

1. Last Second Shot

2. Advice for basketball

3. Sunday football

4. Dirt track racing

5. Energy

Page 12: Getting lost in the life of sports

12

Last Second Shot He’s covered in sweat and blood. As the time whines down they’re still

down by two, with thirty seconds left to play. He takes the ball down the

court. Twenty seconds left. He lets the whine down. Ten seconds left. He

drives hard to the basket, shoots the ball. The ball swishes through the net

with ease. The crowd goes crazy. What no one knows is that he took a

hard foul and landed at a weird angle. The team surrounds him eyes wide

open. It takes him a minute to get up, but he does. He walks to the line.

He gets to the line. The ref gives him the ball. He shoots. The ball back

irons off the rim straight up into the air.

Page 13: Getting lost in the life of sports

13

Advice for Basketball Last year I missed a lot of shots. This year i’m going to get into the gym a

lot more and work on those shots. I am going to get batter at basketball. I

will work out my body to get stronger and faster.

Page 14: Getting lost in the life of sports

14

Sunday Football I couldn’t ask for a better day. Here I was cheering on the Seattle

Seahawks, what better way can you spend your Sunday afternoon. It was

the third quarter, Seahawks beating the Cowboys 7-10. Number 81, Tate

of the Seahawks comes in to defend a kick return. He catches it Tate

maneuvers in front, hits number 50 of the cowboys. Number 50’s cleats

come off the ground and he hits his back, out of breath and injured. The

crowd goes crazy for the big hit, but quickly hushes for the sight of him

being hurt. He gets back up slowly and tries to go on.

15

Dirt Track Racing Dirt track racing is a very competitive sport. If you anit first you’re last.

There can only be one winner. You must wear a fire suit, gloves, boots,

neck brace, and a helment. You may get a small trophy for winning on

race. If you win most, you will score the highest points, and not only a

trophy but money too.

Page 16: Getting lost in the life of sports

16

Energy I have a very creative life. Problems come and go as well as solutions. I

work at my talents and they don’t come easy. Every day I am inspired by

new ways to do tasks. It doesn’t take a lot of energy when you learn to

innovate tasks. I learn something new every day. Sometimes my mind

doesn’t work with my mouth.

Getting Lost- Unit 3 This is my third and final unit of my book. It features the one and

only……..ME!!!! It tells how I would live. I watch survival shows constantly.

The reason I chose this was because I’m fantasized by survival shows.

1. Plane Crash

2. Ruling an Island

3. Survivor

4. Train Crash

5. Stormy Day

Page 18: Getting lost in the life of sports

18

Plane Crash “Where am I?” “Where is my family?” I got up and slowly moved to a

tree until I could gain balance. I looked around for any sign of my family.

We were heading for Hawaii when the pilot came over the intercom and

said we were just over the Gulf of California. The plane made an awful

screeching noise. I felt that we were decending. No one said a word. I

looked at my map we had to be crashing, Hawaii was to far for us to be

landing. We had left from XNA airport in Rodgers, Arkansas three hours

ago. I looked out the window I saw a small skinny island below

And knew that wasn’t Hawaii. I told my family I loved them. It was all a

blur after that. I saw my sister Laken laying in the grass. “ Laken!”

“Laken!’ I yelled as I ran towards her.

Page 19: Getting lost in the life of sports

19

Ruling an Island If I ruled an island the other people would have a lot of rules. They would

have to give me massages, and build me a house. They would have to

listen to me and respect m. If anyone tried to run away they would be

exicuded. I would not have to work or listen to whining. If you were sick

you would get two days off of work but have to work on weekends. They

would also have to cook and clean for me. These are all the rules you

would have to follow or be killed.

Page 20: Getting lost in the life of sports

20

Survivor I was lost. In a forest of some sort. I don’t know how I got here. My first

thought is to find water, then food. I would build s hut and a campfire. I

finally find water. Luckly it’s running water. I have a bow. I start hunting

and kill two rabbits and a squirrel. My next thought is fire and a hut. I

build a makeshift hut. I clean the rabbits and squirrel. I find a lighter in

my coat. I start a fire. I started to think that maybe this could all be a

game. They have gave me all I need.

Page 21: Getting lost in the life of sports

21

Train Crash I didn’t know exactly where the train was going. After paying my fare, I

simply stood on the platform waiting for it to whisk me away somewhere

anywhere but here. And that’s when it happened. The glass beside me

shattered. I grabbed my gun and ducked behind my seat. The other

people in my group did the same. The train started swaying from side to

side. Then the worst thing happened, the train flipped over, rolled, caught

on fire, then skidded to a stop. My friend Lieutanat Scott, found me

twenty feet from the train. I got to my feet, then we headed off to war.

Stormy Day

It was a stormy day. It began to rain, and rain, and rain, The thunder

shook the ground and everything on it. The waves began to rapidly wash

up higher than normal. Wind blew trees and houses everywhere. The

lightning caused to power to go out for weeks. Then earthquakes began to

happen all over the east coast. The death ratio went to an all time high.

Today is the end of the world……
