The vibrant mix of woodland and grassland forming Marden Park is an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which teems with wildlife.

The site is divided into two, with the ancient woodland of Great Church Woods to the far east of the wood. Together they form one of the largest Woodland Trust sites in Surrey.

There are 12km of footpaths and red-striped marker posts to guide you through this tranquil haven.

The North Downs Way and the six-mile Woldingham Countryside Walk also pass through.

Treasures of the pastImmersing yourself in the beauty of Marden Park takes you into some of the UK’s most treasured landscapes. The ancient woodland dates back at least 400 years and the magnificent towering beech trees are more than 150 years old.

With a rich diversity of trees including whitebeam, field maple, lime and hornbeam, don’t forget to look down and appreciate the flowers of the forest floor including dogs mercury. You may also notice the dormouse boxes we have installed to monitor these dainty residents.
