• Toastmaster since 1998, Freshmen year in College

• Been a Member of Clubs from Johnson Space Center club to Tokyo Ronpyo and a lot in between

• DTM

• Placed in District Evaluation Contest both in the US and Japan

• Lived in Japan for more than 13 years

• Married to a Toastmaster for more than 5 happy years

• Provide Constructive Feedback to all role takers• Provide Constructive Feedback for all other aspects of

the meeting• To help all members create a better meeting the next

time• To help encourage all members create a mutually

supportive and learning environment (i.e. fulfill the club`s mission)

• To help the club increase member satisfaction and meeting value

HOW do we do a General Evaluation?

You need a criteria!

HOW do we find a good criteria?

First, Two Things

What does an ideal meeting look like?

•How does it start?•What do the role takers say?•How are the table topics?•How are the speeches?•How are the evaluations?•How is the audience response?•How do the members interact?•Etc.

Example: The Timer

Clear and concise explanation of the timing rules

Includes reasons why the timing rule are important

“TM Suzuki did a great job explaining the timing rules. She clearly stated the different times and showed the cards in her explanation.”

“On the other hand, I wished She also mention why we have timing rules. In my opinion, time is a very valuable resource. If we go over time we “steal” other people`s valuable time. So, we should treat everyone's time with respect.”
